It's your life, do what you want

- Kim Young-hee, CEO of the Endless Mothers Research Institute

Due to global warming, the global weather is the worst these days. The flowers along the road wither away from the scorching heat and rain all day long. They look like mercenaries with masks, sunglasses, hats, and even parasols. While waiting for the subway to go to the meeting place, a poem titled ‘Mom’s Words’ Kim Seo-yoon (2020 Citizens Competition) is written on the subway screen door.

 “It’s your life.

do what you want

Mom just wants you to live well

Do whatever your heart desires.”

This poem tells the reader the power of words. Courage, comfort, and trust are enough words. to admit at face value Most parents don't control their children while holding the channel antenna of 'I do it my way'. I have savored the poems that contain the message of the village murder over and over again. Is it a coincidence? That afternoon, I got a call from a mother I had lost contact with for years.

She said, “She changed her cell phone and in the process of exchanging the SIM chip, all of her contact information was blown away, and she had no way to contact her.”

A few years ago, in the early summer, she was a mother who had counseled her sophomore son about dropping out of school because he was tired of studying. After that, she gave and received a few phone calls, and the whole time she felt no news, but suddenly she heard the news. Your child recently passed the bar exam proudly and is currently undergoing training.

The child was clear on his own stubbornness and subjectivity. He was brave enough to even resign. After that, he graduated from high school with the GED and often dropped out of college several times. What must the mother feel when she has to look at her pitifully.

She tried to activate her brain when her children were young. She paid special attention to the sights of various camps, art galleries, music halls, movie theaters, science halls, and libraries, and to develop thinking skills. She also actively created her reading environment, saying that there is nothing better than reading because she makes the vessel of her wisdom bigger and wider than simply accumulating knowledge. The reading environment was a family reading culture. The child was more logical and knowledgeable than his peers. However, her friendships were not smooth and she was sometimes bullied by her friends.

The child did not adapt to the so-called stereotyped indoctrination system. She was a kind of advanced handicapped child. In a word, her child's ingenuity may have turned her away from her boring school life. His friends and maladjustment are one of the factors. In fact, the child had nothing to learn at school. Meanwhile, her mother's expectations for her child were shattered.

She even lost the meaning of her life for a while due to her menopausal depression. Getting her to sleep at night became her usual thing. Her insides were charred and she lowered her expectations of her children to the ground. Above all, the biggest worry as a mother was that the friendships she met in the regular education course would be disrupted and her child would be left alone.

Concerned about her chores and an uncertain future, she became depressed and lost contact with those around her for years. She worked part-time and was immersed in her own work. She nevertheless worked tirelessly to keep her child from losing her dream. She regarded it as fate, and she was determined not to lose her hopes to her children, either herself.

Sometimes she travels and goes shopping like her friends, and she tries to share issues through conversation. Fortunately for her, her child's writing and intellectual level were at a higher level, and as she matured a little, her story was communicated to her mother as well. Her child and her mother have grown upside down like distilled stones hanging from a cave. What kept them locked up in the open world?

She had a long talk with her after her long time. Her thinking was her enlightenment. The introspection and wisdom that her children gained by choosing the path of hardship was wisdom that money could not buy. Even so, the speculative mother became a master of wise parenting. Her pain is pain, but she has a different perspective through that pain. Ordinary parents may have been engrossed in the study in front of her and savoring her children.

Thanks to her mother's transformed values, the child was free from her circumstances and was able to imagine what she wanted. What happened to the child in the meantime? She found out who she was and redefined her dreams. Studying is not hard work, but curiosity and imagination. She deeply realized and dug into her childhood dream of becoming a lawyer, realizing that she could contribute to society and that this was the way to protect the socially underprivileged. Most of all, she had to join for the sake of her single mother who devoted herself to her children.

There is a rite of passage to become a lawyer. First, going to a good university law school is the key, but my college grades were already a stumbling block. Both college grades and NEET test scores must be high, but it was impossible for a child who neglected to study to get good grades in the department. Fortunately, it received the highest grade of A in the national knit test. The NEET exam is a law aptitude test that is taken when entering a law school.

As expected, my college grades took a hit, but my parent university's law school gave me admission at a lower level. Despite the poor grades in the department, the upper grades of the NEET test scores were highly appreciated. As a result of her studies at that school, she proudly passed the bar exam. It was a voice that was slightly recalled as she told the tumultuous story of her son. She confessed that she was a thin ice sheet until she now had a son of a geek. She was so dark about the news around her because she had turned her back on the world.

“My future depends on what I do now,” said Gandhi of India. Just as the future shapes the present reality, future dreams and actions determine the direction. Children also change depending on how parents think about raising their children. Both mother and child must have felt like they were traveling on a caterpillar orbit in space until they got out of the system and settled on the highland of their dreams.

It is impossible to open a blue ocean, that is, a path that others have not taken, without will, persistence, and vision. Moreover, it can be seen that there is some truth to the saying that success depends on the nourishment of a wide and deep bowl when a child is young. I applaud the patience of her parents, who trusted and waited for her child, and the determination of the child who dared to challenge self-experimentation. "Do whatever you want." The courageous mother's voice seemed to resonate loudly that day.
