브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 더불어민주당 소속인 최강욱 전 의원이 여성을 '암컷'으로 지칭하는 막말로 논란을 일으켰다. 여당인 국민의힘은 '관련자 전원 탈당'을 요구하고 나섰다.
국민의힘 여성 의원 일동은 21일 오후 성명을 통해 "여성을 암컷으로 지칭한 것도 모자라 '설치는 암컷'이라 비하하는 발언은 건국 이래 대한민국 정치에서 듣도 보도 못한 천박한 막말"이라며 "저질 막말로 여성을 비하하고, 대한민국 정치의 수준을 바닥까지 끌어내리는 최 전 의원 같은 사람은 정계에서 영원히 퇴출시켜야 한다"라고 밝혔다.
이어 "민주당은 '사무총장 경고'라는 솜방망이 처분으로 국민을 기만하지 말고, 최 전 의원의 암컷 발언 사건과 관련해 국민께 진심으로 고개 숙여 사죄하시라"라며 "범죄를 저질러 징역형을 받고 의원직을 상실한 사람을 북 콘서트 패널로 초청해 물의를 빚은 민형배 의원, 패널로 함께하며 방관한 김용민 의원, 이들의 저질 여성 비하 막말을 제지하기는커녕 함께 웃고 떠들며 박수 친 민주당 소속 송갑석·조오섭·윤영덕·강민정 의원 등 관련자 전원을 출당시키시라"라고 강력 촉구했다.
앞서 최 전 의원은 지난 19일 광주시 광주과학기술원(GIST)에서 열린 같은 당 민형배 의원의 북 콘서트에 김용민 의원과 함께 패널로 참석했다. 최 전 의원, 민 의원, 김 의원 모두 '친명계'(친 이재명계) 성향인 민주당 강경파 초선 모임 '처럼회' 소속이다.
이날 사회를 맡은 박구용 전남대 철학과 교수가 "이제 검찰 공화국이 됐다고 봐야죠?"라고 하자, 최 전 의원은 "공화국도 아니고, 동물의 왕국이 된 것 아니냐"라며 "공화국이라는 말은 그런 데다 붙이는 게 아니다"라고 답했다.
