Gwangju City “Public officials are safety guardians who protect citizens’ lives”
City Civil Servants Education Center, CPR training for all trainees from February

(Gwangju = Break News) Reporter Lee Hak-soo = The Gwangju City Public Officials Training Center will teach CPR to all trainees this year.

The City Civil Servants Training Center includes CPR as a compulsory subject in all curricula, and conducts CPR in collaboration with the City Fire Safety Headquarters.

This is because the importance of CPR has been emphasized due to various industrial accidents and the Itaewon disaster, and all public officials must play the role of safety guardians to protect the lives and property of citizens in line with the launch of the 'Safe City Working Group' without blind spots. This is a positive reflection of the corrective action.

As a result, 3,100 120 face-to-face education trainees entering the public officials training center from February will learn CPR under the guidance of paramedics from the city fire safety headquarters in the first class of each course.

Yeom Bang-yeol, director of the Gwangju City Government Official Training Center, said, "I expect that all public officials participating in the education center's curriculum will learn the theory and practice of CPR and perform CPR immediately in case of emergency to play the role of a safety keeper to protect the lives of citizens."

Meanwhile, Gwangju City Government Officials Education Center plans to conduct 173 group training sessions (4530 people) and 1044 cyber training sessions (53,000 people) this year.
