희망브리지, 제8차 국가위기관리포럼 공동 개최

기후위기 상황에서 2050년 탄소중립 사회 전환에 따른 정책과제 모색

기후위기로 인류사회 안전이 위협받는 상황 속에서 2050년 탄소 중립 사회 전환에 따른 정책과제를 모색한 ‘제8차 국가위기관리포럼’이 12일 오후 서울 중구 한국프레스센터 서울외신기자클럽에서 열렸다.

 

21세기 기후위기 대응을 위한 국가 위기관리 시스템을 주제로 한 이번 포럼은 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호), 국가위기관리포럼, 국가위기관리학회, 위기관리 이론과 실천, 이재민 사랑본부 재난관리연구소, 녹색청주협의회, 충북지속가능발전협의회, 충북대학교 국가위기관리연구소가 공동 개최했다.

 

최열 환경재단 이사장이 ‘기후위기, 새로운 모델을 만들자’를 주제로 기조 강연을 했다. 이어서 오재호 나노웨더 대표, 이재은 충북대학교 교수, 박연수 충청북도지속가능발전협의회 회장, 정찬권 한국위기관리연구소장, 두오균 대전장애우권익문제연구소장, 이정윤 원자력 안전과 미래 대표, 김염준 충청북도 환경산림국장이 종합토론을 벌였다.

 

신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 감염 예방과 확산 방지를 위해 발표자와 토론자 등 최소인원만 포럼 현장에 참석했고, 영상 중계로 진행됐다.

 

희망브리지 김정희 사무총장은 환영사에서 “기후변화와 환경위기는 이제 우리의 안전과 생존을 위협하는 수준이 됐다”며 “이번 포럼을 통해 기후위기에 대응할 수 있는 국가 위기관리 시스템을 마련하는 혜안을 찾기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

 

재난 구호모금 전문기관인 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회는 1961년 전국의 신문사와 방송사, 사회단체가 힘을 모아 설립한 순수 민간단체이자 국내 자연재해 피해 구호금을 지원할 수 있는 유일한 법정 구호단체다. 

 

60년 동안 1조5천억 원의 성금과 5천만 점 넘는 구호물품을 지원했다. 특히 지난해 코로나19 극복 성금 974억 원을 모금해 2천6백만 점 가까운 물품을 방역 취약계층과 의료진, 치료시설 입소자 등에게 전달했다.
