Chungnam Office of Education Strengthens On-Site Support for Teacher Rights Infringements…
The Chungnam Office of Education is stepping up its efforts to provide close support to schools by significantly strengthening its response system at the institutional level, rather than relying on individual teachers, in the event of teacher rights infringements.
To this end, the Chungnam Office of Education held the "2026 Second Half Idea-Sharing Session for Teacher Rights Protection Officials" at the Naepo Knowledge Industry Center on the 8th, attended by approximately 50 people, including officials in charge of protecting educational activities from the province's 14 Offices of Education and other provincial education office officials.
This session was organized to move beyond simple task delivery and to share practical response cases regarding teacher rights infringements by each Office of Education, as well as to explore field-oriented support solutions.
Based on the Basic Plan for the Integrated Support System for Teacher Rights Protection, the attendees discussed various aspects, including the roles and directions of each institution, the efficient management and documentation of educational activity infringement cases, and measures for organic cooperation when incidents occur.
The participants agreed that we must move away from a structure where individual teachers step forward to respond to infringements, and instead ensure that schools, educational support offices, and the provincial office of education work together organically to support a swift and stable recovery.
Superintendent Lee Byung-do stated, “Protecting educational activities is not merely about safeguarding teachers’ rights; it is a core task that secures students’ right to learn and the stability of education.” He added, “We will establish a comprehensive protection network for teachers’ rights at the office level and continue to provide prompt support so that teachers in the field do not suffer alone.”
The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education plans to continuously strengthen field-oriented policies to protect educational activities, aiming to foster an educational environment where students, parents, and teachers respect each other.
