대전광역시교육청이 지역 직업계고의 교육 경쟁력을 알리고 중학생들의 맞춤형 진로 선택을 돕기 위한 대규모 입시 행사의 막을 올렸다.
대전시교육청은 8일 대전컨벤션센터(DCC) 제2전시관에서 관내 특성화고 및 마이스터고 12개교가 공동으로 참여하는 ‘2026 DJ(Dream & Job) 직업계고 입시박람회’를 개최했다.
이번 박람회는 중학생과 학부모, 교사 등 2,000여 명의 방문객이 몰리며 직업계고 진학에 대한 높은 관심을 입증했다. 시교육청은 현장 방문이 어려운 참가자들을 위해 유튜브 공식 채널을 통한 현장 생중계를 동시 지원했다.
개막식에는 관내 중·고교 관리자 및 학생, 학부모가 참석한 가운데 대전생활과학고 학생들의 치어리딩 축하 무대와 직업계고의 비전을 담은 개막 퍼포먼스가 진행돼 열기를 더했다.
행사장에서는 오전 9시부터 오후 7시까지 과학유튜버 ‘궤도’의 특강을 비롯해 직업계고 동아리 공연, 레크리에이션, 스탬프 투어 등 청소년들의 눈높이에 맞춘 다채로운 체험 프로그램이 이어졌다.
오석진 대전광역시교육감은 “직업계고의 우수한 교육 환경과 구체적인 진학 정보를 한자리에서 알기 쉽게 전달하고자 이번 자리를 마련했다”며 “학생들이 저마다의 적성을 발굴해 미래 산업의 핵심 인재로 거듭날 수 있도록 현장 중심의 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 전했다.
