(브레이크뉴스 전남광주) 이학수 기자=전남광주통합특별시소방본부가 최근 중흥골드스파리조트에서 ‘2026년 화재조사 우수사례 발표대회’를 성공적으로 개최했다.
이번 대회는 화재원인 규명 역량과 조사 전문성을 한층 높이기 위해 마련됐다. 현장에서 발굴된 우수 사례와 새로운 지식을 공유하고, 소방 관서 간 유기적인 정보 교류를 활성화하는 데 목적을 두었다.
행사에는 전남 지역 22개 소방서와 광주 지역 5개 소방서 소속 화재조사관 100여 명이 참석해 뜨거운 관심을 보였다. 본 대회에 앞서 진행된 1차 사전심사를 통해 전남 8개, 광주 2개 등 총 10개 소방서가 최종 발표팀으로 선정됐다. 참가팀들은 2024년 이후 직접 수행한 화재조사 우수사례 10건을 바탕으로 다채로운 프레젠테이션 발표를 펼쳤다.
심사는 ▲화재원인 규명 과정의 명확성 ▲교육적 가치 ▲화재조사 기자재 활용도 ▲유관기관과의 협업 체계 ▲제도개선 성과 등을 중심 기준으로 다각도 평가가 이뤄졌다. 아울러 참석자 전원이 화재조사 전문성과 제도 활용성, 발표 능력 등을 종합 판단하여 평가에 참여했다.
전문성 강화를 위한 전문가 특강도 함께 진행됐다. 국립소방연구원 화재원인분석팀장이 강사로 나선 ‘화재조사 직무역량’ 강연과 한국전기안전공사 재생에너지정책부장의 ‘ESS(에너지저장장치) 사고조사 결과와 안전대책’ 특강이 이어져 최신 기술 트렌드와 현장 조사 노하우를 습득하는 계기를 마련했다.
전남광주특별시소방본부는 이번 대회를 발판 삼아 과학적 화재조사 기법을 관내에 널리 확산하는 한편, 화재조사 보고서의 품질을 대폭 끌어올려 향후 열릴 전국대회에서도 높은 경쟁력을 확보할 방침이다.
