<브레이크뉴스 강원 = 김일웅 기자> 북부지방산림청은 8일 고용노동부 원주지청과 원주·횡성 지역 임업 재해예방을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

■ 산림사업장 안전사고 예방 위한 합동 점검 및 교육 추진
이번 협약은 재해 발생 위험이 큰 산림사업장의 안전사고를 예방하고 종사자의 안전의식을 높이기 위해 마련됐다. 양 기관은 원주·횡성 지역 산림사업장을 대상으로 합동 지도·점검, 안전문화실천 캠페인, 안전보건 교육, 정보 공유 등 다양한 활동을 추진한다.

■ 9~11월 주요 산림사업장 집중 점검
특히 이달부터 11월까지 원주·횡성 지역 주요 산림사업장에 대한 합동 점검을 실시해 관계 법령 이행 여부와 안전관리 실태를 점검하고 개선 사항을 발굴·전파할 계획이다.
송준호 북부지방산림청장은 “산림사업은 특성상 다양한 위험 요인이 존재해 현장의 안전관리가 무엇보다 중요하다”라며 “원주지청과 협력해 산림사업장의 안전관리 수준을 높이겠다”라고 말했다.
