Hadong County Activates Comprehensive Measures for Chuseok Holiday… 113 Personnel on Emergency Duty

Response across 5 Major Sectors Centered on the Comprehensive Situation Room from the 24th to the 27th… Intensive Management of Safety, Traffic, Medical Services, and Prices

Hadong County is activating comprehensive measures to address safety accidents and daily life complaints during the Chuseok holiday period.

On the 7th, Hadong County held the "2026 Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Measures Briefing" at the county office's small conference room, presided over by County Governor Kim Hyun-soo and attended by bureau, division, and department heads, as well as town and village heads. During the meeting, they reviewed the response systems for each sector during the holiday period.

For four days from the 24th to the 27th, the county will operate situation teams from 11 departments covering disaster safety, forest fires, and traffic, centered around the Comprehensive Situation Room, along with 13 town and village situation teams. A total of 113 personnel will be deployed.

Prior to the holiday, safety inspections of multi-use facilities and major infrastructure will be strengthened, and measures will be taken to prevent forest fires in anticipation of an increase in visitors to ancestral graves and hiking trails. An emergency system will also be maintained to prepare for disasters such as typhoons.

In the transportation and daily life sectors, measures will be reviewed regarding traffic management in major tourist areas and congested regions, as well as public transportation, roads, household waste collection, and water supply. Efforts will also be made to expand the operation of medical institutions and pharmacies that remain open in preparation for medical emergencies.

As part of measures for public livelihoods, prices for Chuseok holiday goods will be managed, and support will be provided for the use of traditional markets. Payments for government-funded construction and services will be made early, and efforts will be made to promote local agricultural and specialty products and boost consumption.

Care and visits to vulnerable groups will also be strengthened. The plan is to inspect welfare facilities and vulnerable households to minimize any gaps in welfare services during the holiday period.

County Governor Kim Hyun-soo ordered cooperation from relevant agencies regarding household waste collection by town and village and traffic management at major tourist destinations, as well as the expansion of open medical institutions and pharmacies.

Governor Kim stated, "We will thoroughly examine risk factors in advance and respond promptly to emergencies and inconveniences for residents to ensure a safe Chuseok holiday."
