정 원내대표는 "현 정권 출범 이후 손대는 영역마다 정책적 혼선이 이어지고 있다"며 "국민적 우려와 지적에도 불구하고 정부와 여당이 민심을 외면한 채 국정 운영을 경색시키고 있다"고 밝혔다.
치안·부동산·금융 등 민생 정책 혼선 지적
정 원내대표는 최근 개각과 관련해 "실패한 정책 책임자들의 재기용과 보은성 인사는 공정과 상식에 부합하지 않는다"며 "이는 국정 쇄신을 바라는 국민적 요구에 어긋나는 행보"라고 주장했다.
이어 최근 경찰 수사 과정에서 불거진 각종 사건 처리 논란을 언급하며 치안 공백 가능성을 경고했다. 정 원내대표는 "보완수사권 폐지 논의 등은 치안 체계의 근간을 흔들 수 있다"며 "수사 기관 개편에 따른 공백을 방치한 채 추진되는 무리한 개혁안은 제고돼야 한다"고 질타했다.
부동산 및 금융 정책에 대해서도 신중한 접근을 주문했다. 정 원내대표는 "주택 가격 불안정과 거래 절벽 현상이 이어지며 국민의 주거 사다리가 무너지고 있다"며 "현실과 떨어진 규제 위주의 부동산 정책을 전면 수정하라"고 당부했다.
증시 불안정에 대해서는 "정부의 금융정책 운용 방식이 시장 변동성을 키웠다"며 "투자자 피해 방지와 정책 결정 과정의 투명성을 검증하기 위한 국회 차원의 조사가 필요하다"고 강조했다.
기업 자율성 보장 및 재정 건전성 확보 촉구
기업 정책과 재정 운용에 대한 지적도 이어졌다. 정 원내대표는 반도체 투자 및 이익 배분 관련 논란에 대해 "정치의 지나친 시장 개입은 기업의 자율성을 침해한다"고 지적했다. 또한 '노란봉투법(노동조합 및 노동관계조정법 개정안)'과 관련해 "사용자성과 교섭 범위를 분명히 정리해 기업 경쟁력을 보호할 수 있도록 법안 개정을 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다.
국가 재정에 대해서는 "확장 재정 기조로 인한 국가 채무 증가가 미래 세대에 부담을 주고 있다"며 "선심성 재정 지출을 지양하고 건전 재정 기조로 전환해야 한다"고 지적했다.
외교·안보 분야에 대해서는 "강력한 한미동맹과 실질적 안보 역량을 바탕으로 한 대북 정책이 필요하다"며 "안보 태세를 약화시킬 수 있는 정책 추진에 유의해야 한다"고 언급했다.
사법부 독립성 강조 및 7대 핵심 약속 제시
정 원내대표는 사법부의 독립성과 신속한 재판 진행의 중요성도 재차 강조했다. 정 원내대표는 "사법부의 정당한 판결 및 재판 진행은 법치주의 확립의 핵심"이라며 법원에 공정한 재판 절차 이행을 촉구했다.
마지막으로 정 원내대표는 현 정국을 극복하기 위한 국민의힘의 7대 대안을 제시했다. 주요 내용으로는 ▲보완수사권 재검토를 통한 치안 회복 ▲부부 간 상속·증여세 및 초과근무 세금 부담 완화 ▲선거제도 개편 검토 ▲민간 재개발·재건축 규제 완화를 통한 주택 공급 확대 ▲국민연금 기금운용의 독립성 확보 및 노령연금 감액제도 개선 ▲국채 우선 상환을 통한 재정 건전성 확보 ▲확고한 한미 안보 협력 강화 등이 포함됐다.

On the morning of the 8th, People Power Party Floor Leader Jeong Jeom-sik delivered a speech representing his parliamentary negotiating group, criticizing the current government's overall management of state affairs and calling for the formulation of policy alternatives.
"Since the launch of the current administration, policy confusion has persisted in every area it touches," Floor Leader Jeong stated. "Despite public concern and criticism, the government and the ruling party are ignoring public sentiment and causing a gridlock in state affairs."
Pointing Out Confusion in Public Livelihood Policies (Public Safety, Real Estate, Finance)
Regarding the recent cabinet reshuffle, Floor Leader Jeong argued, "Reappointing officials responsible for failed policies and making patronage-based appointments do not align with fairness and common sense." He added, "Such moves run counter to the public's demand for a renewal of state affairs."
He went on to warn of potential gaps in public safety, citing controversies surrounding the handling of various cases during recent police investigations. "Discussions on abolishing supplementary investigative powers could shake the very foundation of the public safety system," Jeong said, criticizing the situation. "Ill-conceived reform plans that proceed while ignoring the voids created by the reorganization of investigative agencies must be reconsidered."
He also called for a cautious approach to real estate and financial policies. "Housing prices remain unstable and the market is facing a 'transaction cliff,' causing the 'housing ladder' for the public to collapse," Jeong noted. "The current regulation-heavy real estate policies, which are out of touch with reality, must be completely overhauled." Regarding stock market instability, he emphasized, "The government's handling of financial policy has exacerbated market volatility," adding that "a parliamentary investigation is necessary to prevent investor losses and ensure transparency in the policy-making process."
Call to Guarantee Corporate Autonomy and Ensure Fiscal Soundness
Criticism regarding corporate policy and fiscal management also followed. Addressing controversies over semiconductor investment and profit distribution, Floor Leader Jeong pointed out, "Excessive political intervention in the market infringes upon corporate autonomy." Regarding the "Yellow Envelope Act" (an amendment to the Trade Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act), he stated, "We will push for legislative amendments to clearly define employer status and the scope of collective bargaining in order to protect corporate competitiveness."
On the subject of national finance, he noted, "The rise in national debt driven by an expansionary fiscal stance is placing a burden on future generations," and urged a shift toward a sound fiscal policy by avoiding populist spending.
Regarding diplomacy and security, he remarked, "We need a North Korea policy grounded in a robust ROK-US alliance and tangible security capabilities," adding, "We must be cautious about pursuing policies that could weaken our security posture."
Emphasis on Judicial Independence and Presentation of 7 Key Commitments
Floor Leader Jeong also reiterated the importance of judicial independence and the swift conduct of trials. Stating that "legitimate rulings and proceedings by the judiciary are central to establishing the rule of law," he urged the courts to ensure fair trial procedures.
Finally, Floor Leader Jeong presented the People Power Party's seven key alternative proposals to overcome the current political situation. Key proposals included: restoring public safety by reviewing the authority to order supplementary investigations; easing the tax burden on spousal inheritance, gifts, and overtime pay; reviewing electoral system reforms; expanding housing supply by relaxing regulations on private redevelopment and reconstruction projects; securing the independence of the National Pension Fund’s management and improving the old-age pension reduction system; ensuring fiscal soundness through the priority repayment of government bonds; and strengthening robust ROK-US security cooperation.
Floor Leader Jeong concluded the speech by stating, "The People Power Party will fulfill its responsibilities as an alternative party that upholds the rule of law, prioritizes the people's livelihoods, and safeguards the assets of future generations." hang5247@hanmail.net
