청와대가 7일(현지시간) "이재명 대통령이 이날 프랑스 생폴드방스 국제 영화·영상 정상회의 '뤼미에르 서밋'에 공동의장 자격으로 참석해 영화·영상산업 환경 변화 대응을 위한 의제를 제시한다"고 전했다.
강유정 수석대변인은 이날 오전(현지시간) 서면 브리핑에서 "마크롱 대통령과 2027년부터 5년간 각각 5억 유로(약 8000억)를 영상 산업에 투자하는 글로벌 영화·영상산업 투자협력 이니셔티브를 선포 예정"이라며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "국내 영화·영상산업에 대한 과감한 투자를 확대해 창작 생태계에 활력을 불어넣으면서 K 콘텐츠 해외 진출 다변화 계기가 될 걸로 기대한다"며 "뤼미에르 서밋에 초청받은 한국 감독·배우와의 간담회도 진행된다"고 했다.
간담회엔 이창동·정주리 감독·설경구·전도연·김도연 배우·김민영 넷플릭스 아시아태평양지역 콘텐츠 총괄 부사장 등이 참석한다.
