Promotional Collaboration with CKL Resident Company ‘Reaike’… Adding Significance to the K-Content Co-prosperity Ecosystem

<Break News Northern Gyeonggi = Reporter Lee Yong-ha> The past, present, and future of Korean rock music brilliantly intersected on one stage. The first performance of ‘2026 WITH STAGE & Season 6,’ planned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Choi Hwi-young) and the Korea Content Agency (President Kim Yun-ji, hereinafter KOCCA), concluded successfully on the 4th at CKL Stage in Jung-gu, Seoul. This event, which garnered intense buzz even before the show began with all seats selling out in just 20 minutes after ticket sales opened, was a vibrant arena where the audience and artists literally mingled their breaths.

■ Breaking the Boundary Between Audience and Stage… The Magic of the Four-Sided Stage and All-Standing Seats

The most significant feature of this planned performance is the maximization of the spatial characteristics of CKL Stage, a black box-style venue. Breaking away from the traditional vertical viewing format where audiences face only one direction, the event adopted a ‘four-sided stage’ system, allowing viewers to watch from all four sides with the stage positioned in the center.

Furthermore, the event introduced an ‘all-standing’ format for the first time in the history of the ‘WITH STAGE &’ series. With the physical distance narrowed, the atmosphere in the concert hall was hotter than ever. The artists' breathing and the vibrations of the instruments were transmitted directly to the audience, and the crowd's cheers immediately ignited the performances on stage. It was praised for delivering a unique viewing experience where the entire venue pulsated in sync with the music like a single, massive organism.

■ Juniors Sing, Seniors Respond… Generations United by Music

The concert featured the living legend of Korean rock, the "Kim Chang-wan Band," as well as "The Vain," known for their signature explosive energy, and "Pitchtruck Hijackers," known for their distinctive sound.

What particularly caught the eye was the musical connection that transcended generations. The Vain and Pitchtruck Hijackers reinterpreted the classics of the Kim Chang-wan Band—who have long laid the foundation for Korean rock—with their own modern flair. It was a moment where masterpieces of the past took on the voices of the present, creating a resonance that moved toward the future.

The highlight of the concert was the joint performance by the Kim Chang-wan Band and The Vain. When the two teams took the stage together to passionately sing Kim Chang-wan Band’s song “I Love You,” a moving sing-along that transcended generations poured out from the audience.

On stage, Kim Chang-wan shared his thoughts, stating, “Watching the performances of my juniors, I realized that songs connecting generations are a beautiful cultural heritage.” He received enthusiastic applause from the audience for delivering a profound message: “If pop music was a song of comfort that helped our predecessors overcome the pain of war, I hope it becomes a song of hope for the future for the coming generation.”

■ Promoting Co-prosperity in the Creative Ecosystem through Collaboration with Resident Companies… Second Performance Announced for November

It is also noteworthy that the event went beyond a simple performance to promote co-prosperity within the K-content creative ecosystem. To promote this performance, the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) partnered with “Rea-A-E” (CEO Ko Kyung-pyo), a resident company of the CKL Business Support Center. By planning artist interview content through the magazine operated by Rea-A-E, they expanded their engagement with the audience. CEO Ko Kyung-pyo stated, “It was a meaningful experience to collaborate with CKL Stage on their planned performances, and I hope to continue promoting the charm of K-content through various collaborations in the future.”

Meanwhile, CKL Stage, operated by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), is a multi-cultural arts space where creators and audiences meet. Since 2021, it has been contributing to the development of popular music by introducing the planned performance brand “With Stage End.” The second performance of Season 6 is scheduled to be held on November 21.
