브레이크뉴스 이제항 선임기자 = 국민의힘 나경원·박수영·주진우 의원은 9월 7일 오전 국회소통관에서 긴급 기자회견을 열고, 민주당 지도부가 김승원 법무부 장관 후보자를 지키기 위해 사활을 걸고 있다며 이재명 정부의 권력형 비리 커넥션과 비선 인사 농단 의혹을 강력히 비판했다. 또한, 조금 전 교섭단체 대표연설을 마친 김민석 더불어민주당 당대표를 향해 "한마디로 '배추농사 시즌2 연설'이자, 역대급 '언행불일치'로 점철된 '국민 기만극'이었다"고 포문을 열었다.
나경원 의원 등은 민주당 지도부가 김승원 후보자를 사수하려는 배경에 거대한 음모가 숨겨져 있다고 지적했다. 이들은 “김승원이라는 꼬리를 밟으면, 이 정권과 맞닿아 있는 거대한 ‘범죄공동체’의 민낯이 고스란히 폭로되기 때문”이라며 “김 후보자가 식약처를 직접 압박하며 챙기려 했던 제넨셀 뒤에는 거액을 투자한 KH필룩스가 있고, 모기업 KH그룹의 배상윤 회장은 불법 대북송금의 주범인 쌍방울 김성태 전 회장과 얽힌 경제공동체이자 인터폴 적색수배자”라고 주장했다.
이어 “단군 이래 최대 비리라는 대장동 자금을 추적할 때마다 어김없이 등장하는 곳 역시 KH그룹이며, 김 후보자는 대장동 핵심 공범인 화천대유 김만배와 수원 수성고 동문으로 묶여 있다”면서 “제넨셀, 불법 대북송금, 대장동이 그저 우연의 일치이겠는가”라고 지적했다.
그러면서 “결국 꼬리에 꼬리를 물고 들어가면 흑막의 끝엔 이재명 대통령이 있다”며 “김승원 후보자 지명은 이재명 대통령 범죄를 세탁할 '공소 취소용 돌격대장' 역할을 넘어 또 다른 특약관계가 존재하는 것인지, 이재명 대통령은 이 커넥션을 알고도 한 것인지 밝혀야 한다”고 촉구했다.
이어 김승원 후보자가 향해야 할 곳은 법무부가 아닌 피의자 조사실이라고 목소리를 높였다. 이들은 “2021년 10월 김 후보자는 브로커 양 모 씨와의 통화 직후 김강립 당시 식약처장에게 직접 청탁 문자를 보내고 입단속을 지시했다”며 “이 청탁 로비의 결과는 참혹한 '주가조작' 폭탄이었고, 식약처 승인을 미끼로 제넨셀 창업자 강 모 씨는 상장사 세종메디칼 지분과 전환사채를 넘겨 63억 원을 현금화했다”고 꼬집었다.
아울러 “동물실험에서 햄스터가 죽어 나가는 참담한 결과를 은폐하고 허위 서류로 승인을 받아낸 대국민 사기극으로 인해 3만 명의 소액주주들이 피눈물을 흘리며 법원에 탄원서를 제출했다”며 “이재명 대통령은 김 후보자를 입각시킬 것이 아니라 자신이 뱉은 말대로 '패가망신'을 실천해야 하며, 즉시 지명을 철회하고 강제 수사를 통해 서울구치소로 보내는 것이 대한민국의 상식이자 법치”라고 일갈했다.
정권 내부의 비선 실세와 인사 시스템 붕괴에 대한 질타도 이어졌다. 이들은 “대한민국 전체가 정체불명의 비선 실세, 언더조직에 의해 소리 없이 잠식당하고 있다”며 “‘청와대 인사 라인은 김현지잖아’라는 폭로는 빙산의 일각이며, 과거 국회 본회의장에서 김남국 당시 대통령실 비서관이 ‘현지 누나한테 추천하겠다’는 청탁 문자를 주고받던 장면을 국민들은 똑똑히 기억한다”고 되짚었다.
그러면서 “국가 인사 시스템을 무력화해 강선우 후보자가 결국 감옥에 갔듯, 이번에도 검증 시스템을 무력화하는 손이 이재명 대통령인지 김현지 실장인지 국민들은 묻고 있다”며 “'현지 누나'로 상징되는 대통령실 비선 인사 라인을 당장 해체하고, 김현지 제1부속실장의 인사개입에 대해 성역 없이 조사하는 한편 제넨셀·세종메디칼·KH그룹·대장동으로 이어지는 권력형 게이트에 대해 국정조사와 특검을 추진해야 한다”고 요구했다.
마지막으로 김민석 민주당 당대표의 교섭단체 대표연설에 대해 강도 높은 비판을 쏟아냈다. 이들은 “겉으로는 '품격'과 '혁신'을 외치면서 뒤로는 부패 카르텔을 옹호하는 또 한 번의 '국민 배신 연설'이었다”며 “입으로는 민주주의의 황금시대를 말하면서 집권당 민주당의 당직 인사는 '스폰서 복귀 무대'가 됐다”고 강조했다.
이어 “김민석 대표는 과거 유학 시절 매달 450만 원씩 총 2억 5천만 원의 불법 정치자금을 제공해 피선거권 박탈형을 안겼던 불법 스폰서 강신성 씨를 당대표 특보로 전격 임명했다”며 “청문회 당시 매달 송금받은 돈을 두고 '배추밭 투자 수익금'이라는 해괴한 궤변을 늘어놓았던 인물이자, 여의도 오피스텔 무상 사용 및 4천만 원 저리 채무 등 편법 의혹투성이인 인물을 수조 원의 기금을 운용하는 국민체육진흥공단 상임감사 최종 후보에까지 올렸다”고 폭로했다.
그러면서 “‘인사가 만사’라더니 이재명 정권과 민주당은 ‘스폰서가 만사, 공범이 만사’가 됐냐”며 “공적 시스템이 무너진 자리에 비선 농단과 불법 스폰서의 이권 나눠 먹기만 남은 이재명 민주당 정권의 범죄공동체 인사참사를 국민과 함께 철저히 해부해 반드시 심판할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
이번 야당 의원들의 전격적인 폭로와 특검 요구는 향후 정국에 심대한 파장을 몰고 올 것으로 보인다. 특히 법무부 장관 후보자를 둘러싼 주가조작 연루 의혹과 대통령실 비선 라인 논란, 여당 대표의 스폰서 특혜 채용 의혹이 동시에 분출됨에 따라 여야 간의 강 대 강 대치는 최고조에 달할 전망이다. 여권이 국정조사나 특검 요구를 일축하더라도 도덕성 타격과 검증 부실 책임론은 피하기 어려울 것으로 보이며, 향후 국회 상임위와 정기국회 과정에서 공직 후보자 사퇴 촉구 및 비선 개입 의혹 규명을 둘러싼 정치적 공방이 더욱 격화될 것으로 관측된다. hang5247@hanmail.net

People Power Party Reps. Na Kyung-won, Park Soo-young, and Joo Jin-woo held an emergency press conference at the National Assembly Communication Center on the morning of September 7. They strongly criticized the Lee Jae-myung administration regarding allegations of power-related corruption connections and unofficial personnel manipulation, stating that the Democratic Party leadership is staking everything on protecting Justice Minister nominee Kim Seung-won. Furthermore, they opened fire on Democratic Party leader Kim Min-seok, who had just finished his representative speech, stating, "In a word, it was a 'Cabbage Farming Season 2 speech' and a 'drama of deceiving the people' riddled with unprecedented 'inconsistency between words and actions.'"
Representative Na Kyung-won and others pointed out that a massive conspiracy lies hidden behind the Democratic Party leadership's efforts to defend nominee Kim Seung-won. They argued, "If we step on the tail of Kim Seung-won, the true face of a massive 'criminal community' connected to this administration will be fully exposed." They claimed, "Behind Genencell, which nominee Kim tried to secure by directly pressuring the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, lies KH Philux, which invested a large sum of money. Moreover, Bae Sang-yoon, the chairman of the parent company KH Group, is part of an economic community entangled with former Ssangbangwool chairman Kim Sung-tae—the mastermind behind illegal remittances to North Korea—and is a wanted fugitive on Interpol's Red Notices."
They continued by pointing out, “The KH Group invariably appears whenever the Daejangdong funds, known as the biggest corruption scandal since the time of Dangun, are traced, and Candidate Kim is linked to Kim Man-bae of Hwacheon Daeyu, a key accomplice in Daejangdong, as they are alumni of Suwon Suseong High School.” They then asked, “Is it merely a coincidence that Genencell, illegal remittances to North Korea, and Daejangdong are involved?”
They added, “Ultimately, if you follow the chain of events, President Lee Jae-myung is at the end of this dark conspiracy.” They urged, “The nomination of Candidate Kim Seung-won must go beyond his role as a ‘shock squad leader for canceling indictments’ to launder President Lee Jae-myung’s crimes; it must reveal whether another special agreement exists, and whether President Lee Jae-myung acted knowing about this connection.”
They further raised his voice, stating that the place Candidate Kim Seung-won should be headed is not the Ministry of Justice, but the suspect interrogation room. They pointed out, “In October 2021, immediately after a phone call with a broker surnamed Yang, Candidate Kim sent a text message directly soliciting favors to then-Minister of Food and Drug Safety Kim Kang-lip and ordered him to keep quiet.” They added, “The result of this lobbying was a devastating ‘stock manipulation’ bombshell, and using the MFDS approval as bait, Genencell founder Mr. Kang transferred shares in the listed company Sejong Medical and convertible bonds, cashing in 6.3 billion won.”
Furthermore, they asserted, “Due to a grand fraud against the public that concealed the tragic results of hamster deaths in animal experiments and obtained approval through falsified documents, 30,000 minority shareholders shed tears of blood and submitted petitions to the court.” They lashed out, stating, “President Lee Jae-myung should not appoint Candidate Kim to the cabinet but must instead put into practice the ‘ruin of his family’ that he himself spoke of. It is the common sense and rule of law of the Republic of Korea to immediately withdraw the nomination and send him to the Seoul Detention Center through a forced investigation.”
Criticism also continued regarding the unofficial power brokers within the administration and the collapse of the personnel system. They stated, “The entire Republic of Korea is being silently encroached upon by unidentified behind-the-scenes power brokers and underground organizations,” and pointed out, “The revelation that ‘the Blue House personnel line is Kim Hyun-ji’ is just the tip of the iceberg; the public clearly remembers the scene in the National Assembly plenary session where then-Presidential Secretary Kim Nam-guk exchanged text messages soliciting favors, saying, ‘I will recommend you to Noona Hyun-ji.’”
They continued, “Just as the national personnel system was neutralized and Candidate Kang Sun-woo eventually went to prison, the public is asking whether it is President Lee Jae-myung or Chief of Staff Kim Hyun-ji who is neutralizing the vetting system this time as well.” They demanded, “The behind-the-scenes personnel line of the Presidential Office, symbolized by ‘Noona Hyun-ji,’ must be dismantled immediately. Furthermore, the personnel intervention of Chief of Staff Kim Hyun-ji must be investigated without exception, and a parliamentary investigation and special prosecutor must be pursued regarding the power-related gate extending from Genencell, Sejong Medical, KH Group, and Daejangdong.”
Finally, they unleashed harsh criticism regarding the representative speech by Democratic Party Chairman Kim Min-seok. They emphasized, “It was yet another ‘speech of betrayal against the people,’ defending a corrupt cartel behind the scenes while outwardly shouting ‘dignity’ and ‘innovation.’” They added, “While speaking of a golden age of democracy, the ruling Democratic Party’s personnel appointments have become a ‘stage for the return of sponsors.’”
They continued by exposing, “Chairman Kim Min-seok abruptly appointed Mr. Kang Shin-seong as a special advisor to the party chairman. He was an illegal sponsor who had been stripped of his eligibility to run for office after providing a total of 250 million won in illegal political funds—4.5 million won per month—during his time studying abroad.” They further revealed, “He has even nominated a figure riddled with suspicions of irregular practices, such as the free use of an officetel in Yeouido and a 40 million won low-interest loan, as a final candidate for the position of Standing Auditor at the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, which manages trillions of won in funds.” They further stated, “They used to say ‘personnel matters are everything,’ but has the Lee Jae-myung administration and the Democratic Party become ‘sponsors and accomplices are everything’?” They declared, “We will thoroughly dissect the personnel disaster of the Lee Jae-myung Democratic Party administration—a criminal community where the public system has collapsed and only behind-the-scenes manipulation and the sharing of vested interests by illegal sponsors remain—together with the people, and we will certainly bring them to judgment.”
The sudden revelations and demands for a special prosecutor by opposition lawmakers are expected to bring severe repercussions to the future political landscape. In particular, as allegations of stock manipulation involving the Justice Minister nominee, controversies over the Presidential Office’s unofficial line, and suspicions of preferential hiring of the ruling party leader’s sponsor have erupted simultaneously, the hardline confrontation between the ruling and opposition parties is expected to reach its peak. Even if the ruling party rejects demands for a parliamentary investigation or a special prosecutor, it will be difficult to avoid damage to its moral standing and criticism regarding inadequate vetting.
