HD현대케미칼과 롯데대산석화의 통합법인 ‘H&L Advanced’가 출범했다.
H&L Advanced는 4일 충남 서산시 대산공장에서 출범식을 열고 통합 경영 체제에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
출범식에는 조남수·천양식 H&L Advanced 공동대표와 이영준 롯데그룹 화학군 총괄대표, 송명준 HD현대오일뱅크 대표이사 등 양사 경영진과 임직원 180여 명이 참석했다.
H&L Advanced는 국내 석유화학 산업의 사업재편을 위해 추진된 ‘대산1호 프로젝트’를 통해 설립됐다. 사명은 HD현대케미칼의 ‘H’와 롯데케미칼의 ‘L’을 따고 ‘Advanced’를 결합해 정했다.
통합법인은 정유와 석유화학 분야에서 양사가 보유한 사업 역량을 결합해 원료 조달부터 제품 생산까지 운영 효율성을 높일 계획이다. 중복 비용을 줄이고 생산 및 운영 과정에서 시너지를 확보해 원가 경쟁력을 높인다는 방침이다.
중장기적으로는 범용 석유화학 제품 중심의 사업구조를 고부가가치 스페셜티 소재와 친환경 제품 중심으로 전환할 계획이다.
