한국유나이티드제약 세종1공장이 우크라이나 의약품 규제 당국의 의약품 제조·품질관리기준(GMP) 재인증을 받았다.
한국유나이티드제약은 세종특별자치시 전동면에 위치한 세종1공장이 최근 우크라이나 의약품 규제 당국의 GMP 재실사를 통과했다고 밝혔다.
세종1공장은 2023년 우크라이나 당국의 GMP 승인을 받은 데 이어 이번 재실사를 통과하면서 현지 GMP 인증을 유지하게 됐다.
한국유나이티드제약은 2013년 글로벌 제약사 테바(TEVA)와 개량신약 ‘클란자CR정’의 기술수출 계약을 체결했으며, 2016년 우크라이나 품목허가를 취득했다.
기존에는 의약품상호감시협력기구(PIC/S) 인증을 기반으로 한 서면 평가를 통해 GMP 승인을 유지해왔다. 그러나 우크라이나 당국이 2022년 관련 규정을 강화하면서 현장 실사가 의무화됐다.
이번 재실사는 강화된 현장 평가 방식에 따라 진행됐다. 한국유나이티드제약은 GMP 재인증을 통해 우크라이나 시장에 공급하는 의약품의 제조 및 품질관리 기준을 유지하게 됐다고 설명했다.

Korea United Pharmaceutical's Sejong Plant 1 has received re-certification for Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) from the Ukrainian pharmaceutical regulatory authorities.
Korea United Pharmaceutical announced that its Sejong Plant 1, located in Jeondong-myeon, Sejong Special Self-Governing City, recently passed a re-inspection of GMP conducted by the Ukrainian pharmaceutical regulatory authorities.
Following its initial GMP approval by the Ukrainian authorities in 2023, Sejong Plant 1 has now secured local GMP certification by passing this re-inspection.
Korea United Pharmaceutical signed a technology export agreement for the improved drug 'Clanza CR Tablet' with the global pharmaceutical company Teva in 2013 and obtained product approval in Ukraine in 2016.
Previously, the company maintained GMP approval through written evaluations based on certification from the Pharmaceutical Initiatives Co-monitoring Scheme (PIC/S). However, as the Ukrainian authorities strengthened relevant regulations in 2022, on-site inspections became mandatory.
