신동욱 최고위원은 “집 없으면 폐버스에서 살면 되지라는 민주당 중진 의원의 발언은 청년들의 실제 생활상을 전혀 반영하지 못한 졸속 대책”이라며 “과거 가재, 붕어로 살라는 발언이나 빵이 없으면 케이크를 먹으라는 이야기와 다를 바 없다”고 지적했다. 이어 “1주택자라 할지라도 실거주하지 않는다는 이유로 징벌적 과세를 물리는 것은 정부 정책의 신뢰를 무너뜨리는 행위”라며 “과거 정책을 갑자기 바꾸면 국민은 누구를 믿고 집을 사고 주식을 사겠는가”라고 반문했다.

그러면서 그는 여당의 청년 주거 제안을 겨냥해 “청년들의 한계를 정치권에서 함부로 그어선 안 된다”며 “청년들이 수도권의 큰 집을 꿈꾸고 높은 연봉과 창업을 꿈꿀 수 있는 환경을 만들어줘야 국가가 발전한다”고 강조했다. 아울러 “미국에 비해 국내 청년들의 창업 희망 비율이 대단히 낮은 실정”이라며 “청년들이 꿈조차 꿀 수 없는 나라를 만들어서는 안 되며 정치가 청년의 미래를 막지 말라”고 당부했다.

양향자 최고위원은 “강력한 대출 규제를 내놓은 고위 공직자가 정작 본인은 대출을 활용해 막대한 시세 차익을 거둔 모습에 청년들이 깊은 배신감을 느끼고 있다”며 “정권이 끊어버린 것은 부동산 돈줄이 아니라 청년들의 주거 사다리와 꿈”이라고 일갈했다. 이어 부동산 세금 인상 여파에 대해 “비거주 1주택자 과세 강화는 결국 청년들의 월세 상승과 전세 퇴거 압박으로 이어져 더 큰 분노를 부르고 있다”고 비판했다.

김재원 최고위원은 또한, 여당 인사의 버스 하우스 제안에 대한 기술적·제도적 허구성을 검증하는 한편, 주택 모기지 규제 완화와 ISA 계좌 세제 변경의 문제점을 비판했다.
김재원 최고위원은 “네덜란드 암스테르담의 보트하우스는 고급 세컨하우스 개념이자 모기지 대출도 제한되는 특수 사례”라며 “토지와 인프라 개념도 없이 폐버스로 청년 주택을 공급하겠다는 주장은 도시공학적 현실성을 전혀 갖추지 못한 선동”이라고 주장했다. 이어 “가계부채 부실은 개인이 아닌 시행사 등에서 주로 발생한다”며 “청년 세대와 생애 최초 주택 구입자에 한해서는 LTV 한도를 철폐하고 100% 주택 담보 대출을 허용하는 정책이 실질적인 도움이 된다”고 권유했다.
그러면서 그는 최근 ISA 계좌의 국내 상장 해외 ETF 세제 혜택 제외 추진에 대해 “청년들의 장기 자산 형성을 돕던 기존 혜택을 소급 적용해 박탈하는 무책임한 처사”라며 “모든 국가 정책에 소급효를 남발하는 국정 운영 방식을 즉시 중단해야 한다”고 촉구했다. 아울러 “이재명 정권이 말로는 청년 우대를 외치면서 실제로는 청년의 목을 죄고 있다”며 “근본적인 정권의 정책 기조 전환 없이는 청년 세대의 미래를 담보할 수 없다”고 목소리를 높였다.

마지막으로 조광한 최고위원은 영화 ‘돈 룩 업’과 나우루 공화국의 파산 사례를 들어, 현 정부와 지자체의 포퓰리즘적 현금 살포 정책이 가져올 재정 위기를 경고했다.
조광한 최고위원은 “다가오는 혜성 충돌이라는 위기를 외면한 영화 속 정치나, 자원 수입으로 무상복지와 현금 배당을 남발하다 파산한 나우루 공화국의 역사가 현재 대한민국에서 되풀이되고 있다”고 말문을 열었다. 이어 최근 경기도의 재정 비상사태 선포를 언급하며 “과거 2조 원대였던 경기도의 실질 채무가 무상복지 확대 이후 산하 기관 부채를 포함해 7조 원을 돌파하며 역대 최고치를 기록했다”고 지적했다.
그러면서 그는 “이러한 재정 악화는 성남시장 시절 청년 배당에서 시작돼 경기도지사 시절 기본소득으로 확대된 현금 살포 정치에 근본 원인이 있다”며 “지자체의 재정 파탄은 중앙정부가 메울 수 있을지 몰라도, 국가 재정의 파탄은 누구도 대신 갚아주지 않는다”고 꼬집었다. 아울러 “선심성 포퓰리즘의 결과는 물가 폭등과 미래 세대에 대한 세금 폭탄이라는 차가운 청구서뿐”이라며 “여야가 경기도 재정 위기의 원인을 냉정히 분석하고 재정 건전성을 복구하는 합리적 대안 마련에 집중해야 한다”고 촉구했다.

국민의힘 전국청년지방의원협의회가 제9회 전국동시지방선거에서 당선된 만 45세 미만 청년 지방의원 314명과 함께 새롭게 출범을 알리며, 오는 8월 21일 오후 2시 국회박물관 2층 국회체험관에서 제1차 총회를 개최하고 차기 회장을 선출한다고 밝혔다.

국민의힘 경기도당은 추미애 경기도지사가 지난 8월 5일 ‘경기도 재정 비상상황’을 선언한 것에 대해 비판하며, 재정 비상을 초래한 구체적인 세출 원인과 경기도 차원의 자체 자구책부터 도민 앞에 투명하게 제시하라고 촉구했다. 국민의힘 경기도당은 국세 대비 지방세 비중이 낮고 지방정부가 실질적 행정과 지출을 담당하는 구조적 불균형이 오랜 고질적 문제인 것은 맞지만, 현재 경기도의 재정 악화 사태는 이와 별개의 사안이라고 지적했다.

또한 경기도당은 자체적인 세출 구조조정안조차 내놓지 않은 채, 반도체 산업 호황으로 늘어날 법인지방소득세를 겨냥해 31개 시·군의 법인지방소득세를 공동 세원화하려는 추진 시도는 행정의 순서가 완전히 틀렸다고 꼬집었다. 광역지자체의 재정 난맥상을 메우기 위해 기초지자체의 재정 기반을 약화시키는 것은 지방분권과 재정 자율성을 정면으로 역행하는 처사라고 비판했다.
그러면서 국민의힘 경기도당은 추미애 도정을 향해 세 가지 항목을 강력히 요구했다. 경기도당은 “첫째, 경기도 재정 비상의 구체적인 세출 내역과 재정 부담 규모, 의사결정 과정을 투명하게 공개하라”고 요구했다. 둘째로 “31개 시·군의 재정 자율성과 지방분권을 훼손하는 법인지방소득세 공동 세원화 추진을 즉각 전면 백지화하라”고 강력히 촉구했다. 셋째로 “지방재정의 구조적 문제를 해결하려거든 시·군의 곳간을 탐낼 것이 아니라 국세·지방세 배분 구조 개선을 중앙정부와 국회에 정식으로 요구하라”고 강조했다. 아울러 경기도당은 1,400만 경기도민과 31개 시·군의 재정 자율성을 지키기 위해 추미애 도정의 재정 운영을 철저히 검증해 나갈 것이라고 덧붙였다.

The detailed lecture program included "Can Democracy Be Completed by Voting Alone?" by National Assembly Member Shin Dong-wook, "Freedom of Expression: How Should We Protect It?" by National Assembly Member Kwak Kyu-taek, and "Population and Wealth: Reading Population for Optimal Decision-Making" by Research Associate Professor Ko Woo-rim of the Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Health. These lectures covered key pending issues currently facing South Korea in depth, such as suffrage, freedom of expression, and changes in population structure. He stated that as this is the first assembly held since the local elections, it will be a meaningful opportunity for young local councilors from across the country to gather in one place and strengthen communication and cooperation. People Power Party Gyeonggi Provincial Chapter (Statement Criticizing Gyeonggi Governor Choo Mi-ae’s Infringement on Fiscal Authority)
The People Power Party Gyeonggi Provincial Chapter criticized Gyeonggi Governor Choo Mi-ae for declaring a "financial emergency in Gyeonggi Province" on August 5, urging her to transparently present to the residents the specific causes of the expenditures that led to the financial emergency, as well as self-help measures at the provincial level. The People Power Party Gyeonggi Provincial Chapter raised its voice, stating, "If the financial situation is truly an emergency, the first thing that must be done is to closely examine the expenditure details that became the direct cause of the deterioration in Gyeonggi Province's finances." They added, "It must be clearly revealed to the residents how much budget was invested in which projects, which expenditures increased the burden, and whose judgments were involved in that process." They further emphasized, “The first task Governor Choo Mi-ae must undertake shortly after taking office is to comprehensively re-examine the projects and expenditures initiated during the Democratic Party’s tenure, which spanned from the Lee Jae-myung administration to the Kim Dong-yon administration, and to decisively cut unnecessary budgets.”
Furthermore, the Gyeonggi Provincial Committee pointed out that the attempt to co-fund the corporate local income tax of 31 cities and counties—targeting the tax increase expected from the semiconductor industry boom—is a completely misguided administrative approach, as the administration has not even presented its own expenditure restructuring plan. They criticized the weakening of the financial foundations of local municipalities to fill the financial woes of metropolitan governments as an action that runs directly against decentralization and fiscal autonomy.

Choi Su-jin, Chief Floor Spokesperson for the People Power Party, criticized the real estate and stock market review meetings presided over by President Lee Jae-myung, calling them nothing more than empty, performative meetings. She pointed out that while President Lee presided over a second meeting for six hours on the 7th—following a first meeting lasting seven and a half hours on the 3rd—and the Blue House claimed that comprehensive measures to expand supply were discussed, there was a complete absence of substantive housing supply measures.
Chief Floor Spokesperson Choi Su-jin criticized, “President Lee Jae-myung presided over the meetings for a total of 13 and a half hours over two sessions, what the public witnessed was nothing but a superficial political show.” She continued by pointing out, “The Lee Jae-myung administration pledged through its first supply measure, the ‘September 7 Measures,’ to start construction on 270,000 units annually in the Seoul metropolitan area, totaling 1.35 million units by 2030, but actual housing supply has not been properly realized.” She further criticized, “They are delaying actual supply day after day while shifting the blame to the opposition party, yet they are pushing through tax hikes, which exacerbate the suffering of the people, with lightning speed more than any other policy.”

Cho Yong-sul, Spokesperson for the People Power Party, voiced strong criticism, pointing out the falsity of the youth measures and financial policies announced by the Lee Jae-myung administration and the Democratic Party of Korea. Spokesperson Cho condemned the government and ruling party, stating that their stopgap youth policies, put forth to prevent a sharp drop in approval ratings, only provoke laughter among young people and that they are even ignoring responsibility for the "debt-to-investment" frenzy instigated by the current administration.
Spokesperson Cho criticized, "They clearly revealed the true face of bureaucratic inefficiency by proposing 'Bus Houses'—renovated decommissioned buses—under the guise of youth housing measures, and now they are engaging in blatant cash handouts by promising unemployment benefits even to those who voluntarily change jobs." Spokesperson Cho emphasized, "What young people truly crave is not temporary pocket change or bizarre, deceptive alternatives, but stable, high-quality jobs where they can work hard to nurture their dream of owning a home." He continued by criticizing the idea, stating, “In the face of the reality where nearly 700,000 young people are ‘inactive,’ the notion of using the Employment Insurance Fund to provide monthly payments of 1 million won is a disastrous form of populism that crushes the work ethic of youth and burdens future generations with a mountain of debt.” He urged, “The government must immediately withdraw its stopgap real estate regulations and vote-buying cash handouts, and concentrate its national governance capabilities on creating high-quality jobs led by the private sector.”
Spokesperson Cho then sharply criticized the current administration’s financial policy failures and its neglect of debt-fueled investment. He pointed out, “Last November, Financial Services Commission Vice Chairman Kwon Dae-young virtually endorsed debt-fueled investment among young people as a form of leverage, but now the bills for that debt are slamming down on both the youth and the elderly.” He cited actual data showing that overdue overdrafts at the five major commercial banks have surged by 33.2%, and that delinquency rates for those under 20 and over 60 significantly exceed the overall average.
