농협중앙회(회장 강호동)는 자체 개발한 스마트워크 기술이 중국 국가지식산권국(CNIPA)으로부터 특허권을 취득했다고 30일 밝혔다.
해당 기술은 미국 특허 취득에 이어 중국에서도 특허 등록을 완료했다.
농협중앙회가 개발한 스마트워크 기술은 임직원이 태블릿PC와 노트북 등 다양한 기기를 활용해 클라우드 기반 업무 환경에 접속하고, 사내 PC와 같은 수준의 업무를 원격으로 수행할 수 있도록 지원하는 시스템이다.
이 기술은 금융권 보안 기준을 적용한 보안 구조를 기반으로 하며, 원격지에서도 내부 행정 업무와 농업인 지원 업무를 수행할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
농협중앙회는 해당 기술이 지난해 열린 ‘Microsoft Everywhere’ 행사에서 클라우드를 활용한 하이브리드 업무 방식의 사례로 소개됐으며, 국내외 금융기관과 IT 기업의 관심을 받고 있다고 설명했다.
최한호 농협중앙회 디지털전략부장은 “AI를 활용해 업무 방식을 혁신하는 AX 시대에 맞춰 디지털 기반을 강화하고, 농업·농촌과 농업인 편익 증대로 이어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
