롯데하이마트가 산업용 웨어러블 로봇 전문기업 에프알티로보틱스와 AI 기반 웨어러블 로봇의 공동 실증 및 상용화에 나선다.
롯데하이마트는 지난 29일 서울 강남구 에프알티로보틱스 본사에서 신현채 롯데하이마트 SCM부문장과 장재호 에프알티로보틱스 대표 등이 참석한 가운데 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
양사는 지난 5월 정부 11개 부처가 추진하는 ‘AI 응용제품 신속 상용화 지원사업(AX스프린트)’ 산업통상자원부 과제에 선정됐다.
이번 협약에 따라 양사는 피지컬 AI 기술을 활용한 근력 증강 웨어러블 로봇 개발과 가전 유통물류 현장 적용을 위한 실증을 진행한다.
롯데하이마트는 오는 8월 말부터 내년 4월까지 대구물류센터에서 에프알티로보틱스의 외골격수트를 적용할 예정이다. 이를 통해 물류 작업과 배송·설치 과정에서 발생하는 작업 데이터를 수집하고, 현장 피드백을 제공해 가전 물류 환경에 맞는 AI 제어 알고리즘 개발을 지원한다.
에프알티로보틱스는 실증 데이터를 기반으로 로봇 성능을 개선하고, AI 기반 작업 동작 분석을 활용한 안전 시스템 개발을 추진할 계획이다.
가전 유통 물류는 냉장고·세탁기·TV 등 대형가전 취급 과정에서 작업자의 신체 부담이 큰 분야다. 양사는 웨어러블 로봇 도입을 통해 작업자의 근골격계 부담을 줄이고 작업 안전성을 높일 수 있을 것으로 보고 있다.
롯데하이마트는 대구물류센터 실증 결과를 바탕으로 향후 주요 물류센터로 웨어러블 로봇 적용 확대를 검토할 방침이다.
