Seocheon County Partners with EBS to Formulate College Admission Strategies…

Seocheon County in South Chungcheong Province is presenting customized admission roadmaps in partnership with a reputable educational institution for local students and parents struggling with the rapidly changing college entrance examination system.

To this end, Seocheon County announced that it will jointly host the "2026 EBS Chungcheongnam-do College Admission Strategy Briefing in Seocheon" with South Chungcheong Province and EBS on July 18 at the Seocheon Arts Center, targeting local students and parents.

This briefing was planned to provide students in rural and fishing communities—areas that may be informationally underserved—with credible, up-to-date college admission information and practical study methods for each subject. The event will consist of star lectures by leading EBS instructors and one-on-one customized career and college admission consulting by education experts.

Seocheon County Partners with EBS to Formulate College Admission Strategies First, in the special lecture section on learning strategies, Representative Instructor Kim Sang-tae, a star lecturer in the EBS Korean language section, will share key secrets for improving reading comprehension and boosting actual test scores under the theme "Korean: It's Strategy, Not Intuition."

Following this, Representative Instructor Shim Ju-seok, a veteran in the mathematics section, will address the topic "Why aren't my math scores improving despite my hard work?" He will examine the changing trends in CSAT questions and guide students on efficient math study methods that allow them to achieve results commensurate with their efforts.

In addition, a 1:1 college admissions and career counseling booth will be open at all times to help local middle and high school students overcome their academic difficulties. During the counseling sessions, students' school grades and mock exam performance indicators will be precisely analyzed to design customized portfolios and study roadmaps tailored to their academic level, desired career path, and target universities and majors. In particular, this information session, held just months before the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) at a critical juncture where students must make a final push, is being evaluated as a welcome relief and a significant source of strength for high school students and test-takers in the Seocheon region, where access to admissions information has been relatively weak compared to the Seoul metropolitan area.

An official from Seocheon County emphasized, “We hope this admissions information session will serve as a reliable pillar of support, allowing local students to focus on their final preparations without wavering,” adding, “We will continue to spare no multifaceted administrative and educational support to bridge the educational gap and enable local talent to enter the universities of their choice.”
