브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 서울시의 대중교통비 지원정책인 ‘기후동행카드’와 정부의 ‘모두의 카드(K-패스)’를 하나로 통합한 새로운 교통카드 서비스 ‘기후동행카드 플러스’가 도입된다. 비슷한 목적을 가진 두 제도를 결합해 이용자 혼란을 줄이고 운영 효율성을 높이겠다는 취지다.
18일 서울시에 따르면 ‘기후동행카드 플러스’는 정부의 K-패스 체계에 서울시의 기후동행카드 혜택을 연계한 서비스다. 이용자의 월 대중교통 이용 금액과 패턴에 따라 환급형과 정액형 중 더 유리한 방식이 자동으로 적용되는 것이 특징이다.
월 대중교통 이용 금액이 6만2000원 미만일 때는 K-패스 방식이 적용돼 이용액의 20%(청년·저소득층 등 조건에 따라 최대 53.3%)를 기본 환급받는다.
반면, 이용 금액이 6만2000원 이상이면 기존 기후동행카드처럼 추가 부담 없이 서울 시내 대중교통을 무제한으로 이용할 수 있다.
또한, 광역버스나 광역철도 등 요금이 높은 광역교통수단을 자주 이용하는 시민들을 위해 월 10만 원권인 ‘플러스 정액권’도 신규 운영된다. 결제는 월 대중교통 비용을 전액 납부한 뒤 익월에 산정된 환급액을 개인 계좌로 돌려받는 방식으로 진행된다.
따릉이 할인 및 서울달, 서울식물원, 서울대공원 등 서울시 문화·여가시설 할인 혜택은 그대로 유지된다. 청년 할인 대상은 K-패스 인증을 통해 만 35~39세 청년과 만 42세 이하 제대군인까지 확대하는 방안이 검토 중이다.
새 서비스 도입에 따라 기존 기후동행카드는 단계적으로 종료된다. 선불 실물·모바일 카드는 올 7월 31일까지만 충전할 수 있고, 사용은 8월 29일까지 가능하다. 후불 기후동행카드 역시 8월 말까지 사용한 후 9월 1일자로 서비스가 마감된다.
이에 따라 기존 기후동행카드 이용자는 ‘기후동행카드 플러스’를 새로 발급받아야 한다. 단, 기존 K-패스(모두의 카드) 이용자는 카드를 새로 발급받을 필요 없이 서울시민 인증을 거치면 동일한 혜택이 적용된다. 누구나 이용할 수 있었던 기존 기후동행카드와 달리, 이번 통합 카드의 할인 및 환급 혜택은 서울시민에게만 한정된다.
