전남도의회는 지난 12일 제399회 임시회 제2차 본회의를 열고, 전남도 및 도교육청의 추경예산안을 비롯한 주요 안건을 의결했다고 밝혔다.
이번에 통과된 전남도 제2회 추가경정예산안은 기존 예산보다 4,744억 원이 증액된 13조 8,570억 원 규모다. 주요 사업으로는 ▲도민들의 생계 부담을 완화하기 위한 고유가 피해지원금 2,855억 원 ▲지역산업 맞춤형 일자리 창출 지원 112억 원 ▲전남·광주 행정통합 추진 38억 원 등이 반영됐다.
이와 함께 전라남도교육비특별회계 제1회 추가경정예산안은 기정예산 대비 5,010억 원 증액된 4조 9,420억 원으로 확정됐다. 도교육청 예산에는 ▲교육발전특구 운영 238억 원 ▲교육행정 통합 준비 예산 17억 원 등이 포함되어 미래 교육 기반 마련과 행정통합 준비에 무게를 뒀다.
김태균 의장은 개회사를 통해 “전남광주통합특별시 출범을 앞두고 열리는 마지막 회기인 만큼, 무거운 책임감으로 안건을 살펴주신 동료 의원님들께 깊이 감사드린다”고 전했다.
이어 김 의장은 “이번 추경에는 행정통합을 안정적으로 뒷받침하기 위한 지원사업과 도민의 생계 부담을 덜기 위한 고유가 피해지원금이 균형 있게 담겨 있다”며 “재정 지원이 적기에 이뤄져야 행정통합이 순조롭게 안착하고 지역경제에 새로운 활력이 생길 수 있다”고 강조했다.
