Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province Officially Launches ‘Mayoral Transition Committee’ for 9th Elected Term on the 11th
[Yangju Break News = Reporter Kim Wan-young] Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, has officially launched the ‘Mayoral Transition Committee’ to draw the blueprint for the 9th elected administration and has begun full-scale activities.
Yangju City announced that it held a launch ceremony for the committee and an unveiling ceremony for the signboard at the Yangju Employment and Welfare Plus Center on the morning of the 11th, attended by the Mayor-elect, committee members, and advisory members.
This transition committee is composed of experts from various fields who possess both professional expertise and a reformist spirit.
Moving forward, the committee will play a key role in the official launch, including setting the vision and goals for the 9th elected administration and concretizing the Mayor-elect’s campaign pledges.
At the inauguration ceremony held on this day, the Mayor-elect urged the committee members to "pool their capabilities to successfully launch the 9th popularly elected administration of Yangju City, which embodies the expectations and aspirations of the citizens." He also expressed his aspirations, stating, "I will minimize any administrative vacuum and meticulously design a roadmap for the sustainable development of Yangju City and the enhancement of citizen welfare."
Starting with today's inauguration ceremony, the Transition Committee plans to receive reports on major pending issues from each department and office, and conduct on-site visits to key project sites to thoroughly review the feasibility of campaign pledges and methods for securing funding.
Meanwhile, an official from Yangju City stated, "We will provide unsparing administrative and financial support for the Transition Committee's activities to ensure the new 9th popularly elected administration can get off to a smooth start."
