[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남교육청이 학생들의 휴식과 소통, 문화활동을 지원하는 학생복합문화공간 ‘라온’을 개관하고 본격 운영에 들어갔다.
경상남도교육청은 8일 김해시에서 학생복합문화공간 ‘라온’ 개관식을 열고 청소년 맞춤형 복합공간 운영 계획을 공개했다.
이날 개관식에는 박주용 부교육감과 안경애 김해교육지원청 교육장, 청소년·교육 관련 기관 관계자, 학부모 등 100여 명이 참석했다.
‘라온’은 학생 공모를 통해 선정된 이름으로, ‘즐거운’이라는 뜻의 순우리말이다. 기존 상담시설이 갖는 심리적 부담을 줄이고 학생들이 편안하게 찾을 수 있도록 학교 밖 공간에 조성된 것이 특징이다.
시설은 학생들의 정서 안정과 건강한 성장 지원에 초점을 맞췄다. 청소년 전용 휴식공간인 ‘쉼터’를 비롯해 학업과 진로, 또래 관계 등 다양한 고민을 나누는 상담·정서지원 프로그램을 운영한다.
또 문화예술 체험과 신체활동, 창의 프로그램 등 문화·여가 활동과 학교·교육지원청·지역기관이 연계하는 사회참여 프로그램도 함께 제공한다.
특히 단순한 상담 공간을 넘어 휴식과 문화, 상담 기능을 통합한 학생 중심 복합문화공간으로 운영되며, 학교폭력과 위기 상황에 대한 조기 상담 및 지원 역할도 수행할 예정이다.
운영은 민간위탁 방식으로 진행되며, 사단법인 대한학교폭력예방장학협회 경남협회가 수탁기관으로 선정됐다.
박주용 부교육감은 “학업과 진로, 친구 관계 등 다양한 고민을 안고 있는 학생들에게는 마음을 쉬어갈 공간이 필요하다”며 “라온이 학생들의 참여와 목소리로 채워지는 청소년 문화·소통 거점으로 자리 잡을 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 ‘라온’은 경남지역 초·중·고·특수학교 재학생이면 누구나 무료로 이용할 수 있으며, 학생들의 이용 편의를 위해 오후 1시부터 밤 10시까지 운영된다.
