전주대 관광경영학과가 전북 관광산업의 인재 양성 거점으로 자리매김 한다.
4일 전주대학교에 따르면 관광경영학과가 전북 관광산업의 체류형 관광 전환과 지역 일자리 창출을 위한 인력 양성 사업 공모에 최종 선정됐다.
이 사업은 전주를 관광 인재 양성ㆍ교육 거점으로 삼아 군산ㆍ김제ㆍ부안ㆍ고창 등 서해안권을 체류형 관광과 일자리 창출 현장으로 연결하는 것이 핵심으로 담겼다.
관광경영학과는 도(道)가 추진하는 '2026년 지역 산업 맞춤형 일자리 지원 사업'일환으로 추진하는 '전북 특별한(one) STAY = 전주-서해안 체류형 관광산업 일자리 이음 프로젝트'의 세부 사업인 '관광 일자리 권역 이음 인력 양성 사업'을 담당한다.
특히 전주에 집중된 관광 수요를 서해안권으로 확산하고 지역 관광기업이 필요로 하는 인력과 관광 분야 구직자를 연계해 도내 관광산업의 고용 기반을 확대할 계획이다.
