<브레이크뉴스 원주 = 김일웅 기자> 원주시 도시재생지원센터가 운영하는 복합문화공간 '학성갤러리'가 6월의 첫 문을 여는 특별한 전시로 시민들을 초대한다.
학성갤러리는 오는 5일부터 18일까지 상하(Sang Ha) 작가의 개인전 '안녕하세요 반짝입니다'를 개최한다고 밝혔다. 특히 이번 전시는 원주에 정착한 지 7년 차를 맞은 상하 작가가 지역 시민들과 공식적으로 소통하는 첫 무대라는 점에서 남다른 의미를 지닌다.
전시 기획은 시민 참여형으로 이뤄졌다. 원주시 도시재생지원센터는 올해 상반기 전시기획단을 꾸리고 공개 모집을 통해 6팀의 작가를 엄선했으며, 상하 작가가 그 첫 번째 주자로 나서게 됐다.
전시명인 '안녕하세요 반짝입니다'는 지역 사회의 이웃이자 예술가로서 시민들에게 건네는 다정한 첫인사를 의미한다. 홍익대 서양화과 출신인 상하 작가는 이번 전시에서 '이 세계는 무엇이며 어디서 왔는가'라는 근원적 질문을 바탕으로, 우주와 인간의 본질을 '입자'와 '파동'의 세계로 풀어낸 작품들을 선보이며 관람객들에게 잔잔한 위로를 전할 예정이다.
전시 관람은 평일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시(입장 마감 오후 5시 30분)까지며, 관람료는 전면 무료다.
