중구청년리더스·온정봉사단 연쇄 지지 선언…‘실무형 변화’ 열망 결집
김 후보 “보여주기 정치는 끝, 원도심 소멸 막고 주민 체감형 구정 펼칠 것”
국민의힘 김선광 대전 중구청장 후보가 청년층과 현장 봉사단체의 연쇄 지지를 이끌어내며 선거 국면의 주도권 확보에 속도를 내고 있다.
지역 내 실무 조직들이 잇따라 지지의 돛을 올림에 따라, 원도심 활성화와 구정 교체를 향한 보수 진영의 세 몰이가 본궤도에 오른 모양새다.
김 후보 캠프에 따르면 청년단체인 ‘중구청년리더스’와 복지봉사 단체인 ‘온정봉사단’은 16일 오후 각각 공식 선언문을 발표하고 김 후보에 대한 전폭적인 지지를 천명했다.
이들은 지지 표명에 앞서 김 후보와 긴밀한 정책 간담회를 갖고 청년 창업 생태계 조성, 원도심 공동화 현상, 복지 사각지대 해소 등 중구의 해묵은 과제들에 대해 심도 있는 의견을 교환했다.
청년리더스 측은 중구의 미래를 위해서는 거창한 수사보다 발로 뛰는 실무형 리더가 절실하다며, 현장의 애로사항을 경청하는 김 후보의 추진력에 깊은 신뢰를 보낸다고 밝혔다.
온정봉사단 역시 보여주기식 정치가 아닌 복지 그늘을 걷어낼 따뜻한 적임자라고 평가했다.
