이번 사업은 청년이 경주시 소재 주택을 구입하면서 발생한 대출이자의 일부를 지원하는 제도로, 주거 기반 마련에 필요한 초기 금융 부담 완화에 초점을 맞췄다.
지원 대상은 공고일 기준 경주시에 주소를 두고 실제 거주하는 19세 이상 39세 이하 청년이다. 2024년 1월 1일 이후 경주시 소재 주택을 구입한 경우 신청할 수 있다.
대상 주택은 주택가액 5억 원 이하, 전용면적 85㎡ 이하 주택이며, 읍·면 지역은 전용면적 100㎡ 이하까지 인정된다.
지원 금액은 2025년도에 실제 납부한 주택구입 대출이자 범위 내에서 연 최대 300만 원까지 지급된다.
총사업비는 10억 원으로, 경주시는 예산 범위 내에서 지원 대상자를 선정할 방침이다.
소득 기준은 미혼자와 기혼 외벌이 가구의 경우 연 소득 6천만 원 이하, 맞벌이 부부는 합산 연 소득 1억 원 이하로 제한된다.
신청 기간은 오는 18일부터 29일까지이며, ‘정부24 혜택알리미’를 통해 온라인으로 접수하면 된다. 경주시는 신청자 자격요건 심사를 거쳐 오는 8월 중 지원금을 지급할 예정이다.
최혁준 경주시장 권한대행은 “이번 사업이 청년들의 주거비 부담을 줄이고 안정적인 지역 정착에 실질적인 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 청년들이 체감할 수 있는 지원 정책을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The support amount is provided up to a maximum of 3 million won per year, within the scope of the housing purchase loan interest actually paid in 2025.
The total project budget is 1 billion won, and Gyeongju City plans to select beneficiaries within the budget limits.
Income criteria are limited to an annual income of 60 million won or less for unmarried individuals and single-income married households, and a combined annual income of 100 million won or less for dual-income couples.
The application period runs from the 18th to the 29th, and applications can be submitted online via the "Government 24 Benefit Alert" service. Gyeongju City plans to disburse the support funds in August following a review of applicants' eligibility.
