영암군은 지난 7일부터 8일까지 이틀간 서울 영등포구 어린이 문화체험단이 영암을 방문해 지역 어린이들과 함께 다채로운 문화체험 활동을 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 양 지자체가 매년 상호 방문 형식으로 추진하고 있는 '어린이 문화교류 프로그램'의 일환이다. 올해는 영등포구 어린이들이 먼저 영암을 찾아 남도의 매력을 만끽하며 현지 어린이들과 우정을 쌓는 시간으로 진행됐다.
방문 기간 동안 어린이들은 F1 국제자동차경주장을 찾아 역동적인 카트 체험을 즐겼으며, 전통염색과 과자 만들기, 영암군 캐릭터를 활용한 키링·블록 제작 등 영암의 역사와 문화를 느낄 수 있는 다양한 프로그램에 참여했다. 또한 곤충박물관 관람을 통해 자연 생태를 배우는 유익한 시간도 가졌다.
체험에 참여한 어린이들은 짧은 일정 속에서도 함께 어울리며 자연스럽게 친해졌으며, 퇴소식에서는 서로 준비한 선물과 연락처를 주고받으며 향후 지속적인 만남을 기약하기도 했다.
