6·3 지방선거 대전 중구 제3선거구(유천동,문화동,산성동)에 출마한 더불어민주당 고제열 예비후보가 9일 오후 중구 유천동에 위치한 선거사무소에서 개소식을 열고 본격적인 득표 활동에 나섰다.
이날 오후 5시 30분에 열린 개소식에는 허태정 대전시장 후보와 김제선 중구청장 후보, 조성칠 대전시의원 후보를 비롯한 지역 내 지방선거 예비후보들과 지지자들이 대거 참석해 정치 신인인 고제열 후보의 앞날을 응원했다.
특히 이번 행사는 일반적인 실내 행사가 아닌 선거사무소 옥상에 마련된 몽골텐트 아래에서 개최되어 이목을 끌었다.

참석자들은 시원한 개방감을 느낄 수 있는 '옥상 개소식'이라는 이색적인 풍경에 반가움을 표하며 화기애애한 분위기 속에서 행사를 진행했다.
시민의 행복을 최우선으로 하는 구체적인 의정 활동 청사진을 제시 한 고제열 예비후보는 이날 개소식에서 “정치는 권위를 가지고 가치를 배분하는 것”이라며, “시의원이 된다면 대전시 행정 및 재정의 가치를 시민들에게 다시 돌려주어 시민의 일상이 행복한 정치를 실천하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

이어 그는 정치적 지향점으로 이재명 정부의 ‘국민주권정부’와 더불어민주당의 ‘당원주권정부’를 언급했다. 고 예비후보는 “오로지 시민과 당원의 의견을 겸손한 자세로 청취하여 이를 정책에 적극 반영하는 시의원이 되겠다”고 강조했다.
특히 고 예비후보는 시의원의 핵심 역할을 두 가지로 정의하며 구체적인 실천 의지를 다졌다. 우선 여당인 더불어민주당 소속 시의원으로서 이재명 정부의 정치 철학인 ‘애민국정’이 지역 사회에 원활히 전파되도록 가교 역할을 수행하겠다고 약속했다.
또한 지역을 대변하는 일꾼으로서 주민들의 삶의 현장을 발로 뛰며 살피고, 시민들의 목소리가 실질적인 정책으로 구현될 수 있도록 조례 제·개정에 매진하겠다는 구상을 밝혔다.

고 예비후보는 “이 두 가지 책무를 성실히 수행하여 행정 가치를 재정립하고 시민 중심의 의정을 펼치겠다”며 선거 승리를 향한 결연한 의지를 표명했다.
고제열 후보는 개소식을 시작으로 본격적인 선거운동에 나서 지역내 더불어민주당 후보들이 승리 할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다는 의지를 표명했다.
한편 고제열 예비후보는 개소식을 기점으로 지역구 내 유권자들과의 접점을 넓히며 정책 알리기와 지지세 확산에 박차를 가할 예정이다.
