이랜드문화재단은 4일부터 오는 17일까지 14일간 서울 서초구 잠원동 멀버리힐스 ‘갤러리 앨리’ 일대에서 2026 대한민국 청년 조각 축제 ‘수호천사 展(전)’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.
이번 전시는 이랜드문화재단과 세계청소년문화재단, 크라운해태가 공동 기획한 프로젝트로, 국내외 20여 개 대학 조소과 재학생 및 수료생 약 300명이 참여한다.
강원대, 경북대, 경희대, 홍익대 등 국내 주요 대학은 물론 중국 허베이·후베이 지역 대학생들이 참여하는 대규모 행사다.
전시 주제인 ‘나를 수호하는 조각’에 맞춰 참여 작가들은 개인의 기억과 감정, 관계 속에서 작동하는 ‘수호’의 개념을 다채로운 형태로 풀어냈다.
작품들은 멀버리힐스 내 12개 전시관과 야외 공간을 연계한 복합 전시 형태로 구성, 소형 조각부터 대형 설치 작업까지 폭넓은 작품 스펙트럼을 한 자리에서 경험할 수 있다.
전시 외에도 작가 토론, 세미나, 체험 프로그램 등 다양한 연계 활동을 마련했으며 일부 작품은 현장에서 구매할 수도 있다.
이랜드문화재단 관계자는 “이번 전시는 청년 조각가들의 창작 기반을 넓히고, 조각이 관람객의 삶 속에서 어떤 의미를 가질 수 있는지 고민한 결과물”이라며 “앞으로도 예술가들이 대중과 소통할 수 있는 기회를 지속적으로 만들어 예술 생태계 확장에 기여하겠다”고 전했다.

In addition to the exhibition, various related activities such as artist discussions, seminars, and hands-on programs have been organized, and some artworks are available for purchase on-site.
An official from the Eland Foundation stated, “This exhibition is the result of efforts to broaden the creative foundation for young sculptors and to contemplate the meaning sculpture can hold in the lives of viewers,” adding, “We will continue to contribute to the expansion of the art ecosystem by consistently creating opportunities for artists to communicate with the public.”
