브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 부영그룹이 인수한 창신대학교는 교육부와 한국대학교육협의회가 주관하는 ‘2026년 대학 인공지능(AI) 기본교육과정 개발 지원사업’에 최종 선정됐다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 AI가 일상화된 시대에 발맞춰 전공에 관계없이 모든 대학생이 필수적으로 갖춰야 할 보편적 AI 역량을 체계적으로 함양할 수 있도록 지원하는 사업이다. 전국 80개 대학이 지원해 치열한 경쟁을 벌인 가운데 창신대를 포함한 총 20개 대학이 선정됐다.
이번 선정으로 향후 2년간 연간 최대 3억 원씩, 총 6억 원 규모의 재정 지원을 받게 된 창신대는 전교생 대상의 AI 기초 교양 과정을 체계화할 방침이다. 특히 인공지능의 윤리적 활용과 비판적 사고 교육을 강화하고, 비공학계열 전공과 연계한 ‘AI 활용 소단위 전공 과정’을 개발해 실질적인 융합 역량을 제고한다는 계획이다.
창신대학교 관계자는 “경남 지역 유일 선정이라는 성과는 대학의 혁신 의지를 보여주는 결과”라며 “미래 사회가 요구하는 융합형 인재를 양성해 지역사회와 산업 발전에 기여하겠다”고 전했다.

Changshin University, acquired by the Booyoung Group, announced on the 4th that it has been finally selected for the "2026 University Artificial Intelligence (AI) Basic Curriculum Development Support Project," organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korean Council for University Education.
