유원골프재단(이사장 김영찬)은 제주 지역 골프 유망주 26명에게 총 4500만 원 규모의 ‘2026 골프 꿈나무 장학금’을 전달했다고 3일 밝혔다.
이번 장학금 지원은 골프 유망주들의 노력과 성과를 격려하고, 이들이 기량을 충분히 발휘할 수 있는 안정적인 훈련 환경을 조성하기 위해 마련됐다.
장학생 선발은 지난달 29일부터 30일까지 개최된 ‘2026 골프존카운티 오라배 전도주니어골프선수권대회’ 성적을 바탕으로 심사를 거쳐 진행됐다. 그 결과 초등부 8명, 중등부 8명, 고등부 10명 등 총 26명의 장학생이 최종 명단에 이름을 올렸다.
이번 대회에서 고등부 장학생으로 선발된 이시은 학생은 “골프존카운티 오라의 우수한 코스에서 좋은 성적을 거둬 매우 뜻깊다”며 “재단의 지원에 힘입어 앞으로 세계 무대에서 활약하는 뛰어난 골퍼로 성장하고 싶다”고 소감을 전했다.
