브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 교촌에프앤비가 어린이날을 앞두고 포항 지역 초등학교 학생들을 위한 깜짝 나눔 행사를 진행했다.
교촌에프앤비는 경북 포항시 북구에 위치한 기북초등학교와 죽전초등학교를 대상으로 치킨 나눔 행사를 열었다고 4일 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 전교생 16명의 소규모 학교에 재학 중인 한 6학년 학생의 손편지에서 시작됐다.
해당 학생은 “친구들과 함께 나눠 먹을 수 있는 치킨이 있었으면 좋겠다”는 바람을 전했고, 교촌은 이에 화답해 지난 4월 30일 양교가 함께 진행한 연합 운동회 현장을 푸드트럭과 함께 깜짝 방문했다.
이날 교촌은 두 학교 학생 33명과 교직원 등 총 62명을 대상으로 ‘싱글윙’(간장·레드·허니) 130개와 웨지감자 40개를 현장에서 직접 조리해 제공했다. 특히 소규모 학교 환경을 고려해 아이들이 부담 없이 즐길 수 있도록 소용량 메뉴 중심으로 구성했다.
행사장은 ‘지아의 소원에 날개를 달다’를 주제로 꾸며졌으며, 현수막과 포토존이 마련돼 학생들에게 특별한 어린이날 추억을 선사했다. 사연을 보낸 학생은 “친구들과 함께 치킨을 나눠 먹는 시간이 꿈처럼 이뤄져 행복하다”고 소감을 전했다.
교촌에프앤비 관계자는 “학생의 진심 어린 편지에 감동해 친구들과 함께 즐거운 시간을 보낼 수 있도록 이번 행사를 준비했다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회에 따뜻한 나눔과 상생의 가치를 지속적으로 전하겠다”고 밝혔다.
Kyochon F&B Responds to Elementary Student's Handwritten Letter with Chicken Food Truck
Ahead of Children's Day, Kyochon F&B held a surprise sharing event for elementary school students in the Pohang region.
Kyochon F&B announced on the 4th that it held a chicken sharing event for Gibuk Elementary School and Jukjeon Elementary School, located in Buk-gu, Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province. This event originated from a handwritten letter from a sixth-grade student attending a small school with only 16 students in total.
The student expressed a wish, saying, "I wish there were chicken that I could share with my friends." In response, Kyochon made a surprise visit with a food truck to the site of the joint athletic meet held by both schools on April 30.
On that day, Kyochon cooked and provided 130 "Single Wings" (Soy, Red, and Honey) and 40 wedge potatoes directly on-site to a total of 62 people, including 33 students and faculty members from the two schools. In particular, considering the environment of small schools, the menu was organized around small-sized portions so that children could enjoy it without feeling burdened.
The event venue was decorated under the theme "Giving Wings to Jia's Wish," and banners and photo zones were set up to provide students with special Children's Day memories. The student who submitted the story shared their feelings, saying, "I am happy that the time spent sharing chicken with my friends came true like a dream."
A Kyochon F&B official stated, "We were moved by the student's heartfelt letter and prepared this event so that she could have a fun time with her friends," adding, "We will continue to convey the values of warm sharing and mutual growth to the local community."
