지금 대한민국이 처한 현실은 단순한 정권 운영의 문제가 아니라 국가의 방향을 다시 세우는 전환의 시기입니다. 대통령께서 어떤 철학과 우선순위로 국정을 이끌어가느냐에 따라 대한민국의 미래는 크게 달라질 것입니다.
무엇보다 중요한 것은 사회적 약자와 함께 가는 국가의 방향입니다. 경제 성장의 수치만으로 국민의 삶의 질을 설명할 수 없습니다. 장기 침체와 양극화 속에서 소상공인, 자영업자, 중소기업, 청년층의 어려움은 이미 사회 전반의 불안으로 이어지고 있습니다. 이제 경제 정책은 대기업 중심에서 벗어나 중소기업과 지역 경제를 살리는 방향으로 전환되어야 합니다.
대통령의 가장 중요한 덕목은 정직입니다. 실현 가능한 약속을 하고 반드시 지키겠다는 신념이 필요합니다. 정치가 신뢰를 잃는 순간 어떤 정책도 작동하기 어렵습니다.
공정의 회복 또한 시급합니다. 경쟁은 필요하지만 강자의 논리로만 작동할 때 사회는 균형을 잃습니다. 공정한 기회에 대한 신뢰를 회복하는 것이 사회 통합의 출발점입니다.
저출산 문제 역시 구조적 접근이 필요합니다. 주거, 교육, 일자리, 양육 환경이 개선되지 않는다면 젊은 세대는 미래를 선택하지 않습니다. 청년이 미래를 설계할 수 있는 나라를 만드는 것이 해법입니다.
국정 운영에서는 여야 협치가 반드시 필요합니다. 대결 정치로는 국정 동력을 유지할 수 없습니다. 야당을 동반자로 인정하고 대화와 타협을 통해 국가 과제를 풀어가야 합니다.
국제 정세는 그 어느 때보다 엄중합니다. 러시아와 우크라이나 전쟁의 장기화는 국제 질서의 불확실성을 심화시키고 있으며, 미국과 이란, 이스라엘을 둘러싼 군사적 긴장의 확산은 중동을 넘어 전 세계 안보와 에너지 시장에까지 영향을 미치고 있습니다. 이러한 전방위적 갈등 구조 속에서 대한민국은 외교·안보·경제를 종합적으로 고려한 신중하고도 전략적인 대응이 요구됩니다.
대북 정책 역시 분명해야 합니다. 북한의 도발에는 단호히 대응하되, 동시에 대화의 문은 열어두어야 합니다. 한반도의 평화는 억지력과 신뢰 구축이 병행될 때 유지될 수 있습니다. 특히 국제적 긴장이 고조되는 상황일수록 남북 간 긴장 완화와 안정적 관리가 더욱 중요합니다.
지금 대한민국에 필요한 지도자는 현실을 직시하고 문제를 회피하지 않는 결단력과 국민의 뜻을 정책으로 구현하는 용기를 갖춘 사람입니다.
지금의 위기를 도약의 기회로 만들 수 있기를 기대합니다. 대통령께서 통합과 개혁의 방향을 분명히 제시해 주시기를 바랍니다.

Advice to the President for a Better Country

The reality currently facing South Korea is not merely a matter of administration; it is a time of transition to redefine the nation's direction. The future of South Korea will vary significantly depending on the philosophy and priorities with which the President leads state affairs.
Above all, the most important thing is a national direction that walks alongside the socially vulnerable. The quality of life for the people cannot be explained solely by economic growth figures. Amidst long-term stagnation and polarization, the hardships faced by small business owners, the self-employed, SMEs, and the youth are already leading to instability throughout society. Economic policy must now shift away from a focus on large conglomerates and move toward revitalizing SMEs and regional economies.
The President's most important virtue is honesty. He needs the conviction to make feasible promises and keep them without fail. The moment politics loses trust, it becomes difficult for any policy to function.
The restoration of fairness is also urgent. Competition is necessary, but society loses its balance when it operates solely on the logic of the strong. Restoring trust in fair opportunities is the starting point for social integration.
The issue of low birth rates also requires a structural approach. If the environment for housing, education, employment, and child-rearing is not improved, the younger generation will not choose the future. The solution lies in creating a country where young people can design their own future.
In governing the country, bipartisan cooperation is absolutely essential. Confrontational politics cannot sustain the momentum of state affairs. We must recognize the opposition party as a partner and resolve national challenges through dialogue and compromise.
The international situation is more grave than ever. The prolonged war between Russia and Ukraine is deepening uncertainty in the international order, while the spread of military tensions surrounding the U.S., Iran, and Israel is impacting global security and energy markets beyond the Middle East. Amidst this all-encompassing conflict structure, the Republic of Korea requires a prudent and strategic response that comprehensively considers diplomacy, security, and the economy.
North Korea policy must also be clear. We must respond resolutely to North Korean provocations while simultaneously keeping the door open for dialogue. Peace on the Korean Peninsula can be maintained only when deterrence and trust-building are pursued in parallel. In particular, as international tensions escalate, the alleviation of tension and stable management between the two Koreas become even more critical.
The leader that South Korea needs right now is someone who possesses the decisiveness to face reality without avoiding problems, and the courage to translate the will of the people into policy.
I hope that the current crisis can be turned into an opportunity for a leap forward. I ask the President to clearly present a direction for unity and reform.
