청와대가 7일 유엔의 인도적 대북 사업 일부에 대한 제재 면제 승인 관련해 "유엔 안보리 대북 제재 결의도 결의 조치들이 대북 인도적 지원 활동을 제한할 의도가 아님을 명확히 하고 있다"고 했다.
청와대는 이날 오후 "한반도 정치적 상황과 무관하게 북한에 대한 인도적 지원은 일관되게 이뤄져야 한다"며 이같이 주장했다.
그러면서 "(북한도) 인도적 상황 개선을 위한 국제사회 선의에 호응하고, 한반도 평화 공존을 위한 정부 노력에 화답하길 기대한다"고 덧붙였다.
앞서 지난 5일 유엔 안전보장이사회 대북제재위는 인도적 대북 사업 17건에 대한 제재 면제를 승인한 걸로 전해졌다.
