브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 밴드 어쿠스틱 콜라보의 보컬리스트 모수진이 지난 25일 사망했다. 향년 27세.
소속사 패닉버튼은 28일 “너무나 슬프고 안타까운 소식을 전해드리게 돼 죄송하다. 어쿠스틱 콜라보 보컬 모수진이 지난 25일 우리 곁을 떠났다”며 비보를 전했다.
이어 “갑작스러운 비보에 유가족 분들은 깊은 슬픔에 빠져 있다. 유가족의 뜻에 따라 고인의 사망 원인을 비롯한 상세 내용은 공개하지 않기로 했으니 너른 양해 부탁드린다. 또한 근거 없는 추측이나 루머 유포는 삼가주길 정중히 부탁드린다. 삼가 고인의 명복을 빈다”고 밝혔다.
모수진은 지난 25일 세상을 떠났다. 28일 오전 10시 30분, 남양주 에덴추모 공원에서 발인했다.
1999년생 모수진은 아이돌 연습생으로 출발해 지난 2020년 어쿠스틱 콜라보의 3기 보컬로 합류한 뒤 정규 3집 ‘얘랑 있을 때 좋다’를 발표했다. 어쿠스틱 콜라보는 김승재의 1인 밴드로 출발했지만 2기 보컬 안다은, 김규년을 거쳐 모수진이 멤버로 이름을 올렸다.
하지만 이들은 지난 2022년 전 소속사와 분쟁을 겪으며 긴 법정싸움에 돌입했다. 2024년 서울 중앙지방법원 제24민사부는 원고 일부 승소판결에 이어 2025년 11월 27일 2심에서 완전 승소했다.
어쿠스틱 콜라보는 지난해 새 소속사 ‘패닉버튼’과 전속계약을 체결하고 활동을 재개했다. 모수진은 지난해 6월 본명 모수진으로 싱글 ‘Your Universe’를 발표하기도 했다.
