브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 가수 겸 배우 차은우(29·본명 이동민)가 200억 탈세 의혹 관련해 직접 입장을 밝혔다.
차은우는 26일 자신의 SNS(사회관계망서비스)를 통해 “최근 저와 관련된 여러 가지 일들로 많은 분들께 심려와 실망을 안겨드린 점, 진심으로 고개 숙여 사과드린다”며 “이번 일을 계기로 대한민국의 국민으로서 납세의 의무를 대하는 제 자세가 충분히 엄격했는지, 스스로 돌아보며 깊이 반성하고 있다”며 운을 뗐다.
차은우는 “지난 며칠 동안 무슨 말씀부터 드려야 저로 인해 상처받은 분들께 저의 송구함이 조금이나마 전달될 수 있을지 고민하며 반성하는 시간을 가졌다”며 “구구절절한 글이 변명처럼 들리거나, 되려 피로감을 드리게 되지 않을까 걱정도 됐지만 이번 사안에 대해 제가 직접 말씀드리고 사과드리는 것이 도리라는 생각에 이르게 됐다”고 입장문을 쓴 이유를 밝혔다.
이어 차은우는 “지금 저는 부대 내에서 일과를 마치고 이 글을 적고 있다. 현재 저는 군복무 중이지만, 결코 이번 논란을 피하기 위한 의도적인 선택은 아니었다. 지난해 군 입대를 더는 미룰 수 없는 상황이 되어 세무 조사 절차를 마무리 짓지 못한 채 입대하게 됐다”며 “그러나 이 또한 저의 부족함에서 비롯된 오해이기에 책임을 깊이 통감하고 있다. 만약 제가 군인의 신분이 아니었다면 이번 일로 피해 봤을 모든 분들을 일일이 찾아뵙고 고개 숙여 사과드리고 싶은 심정으로 진심을 다해 이 글을 써 내려가고 있다”고 전했다.
또 차은우는 “지난 11년이란 오랜 세월 동안, 가진 것보다 부족함이 더 많은 제가 여러분께서 아낌없이 보내준 사랑과 응원 덕분에 지금의 ‘차은우’라는 과분한 자리에 있을 수 있었다. 그렇기에 그동안 부족한 저를 믿고 응원해준 모든 분들과 함께 일해 온 많은 분들께 보답은 드리지 못할지언정 큰 상처와 피로감을 드리게 돼 이루 말할 수 없이 죄송스러운 마음이다”며 거듭 사과의 뜻을 표했다.

앞서 지난 22일 차은우가 지난해 봄 서울지방국세청 조사4국으로부터 탈세 혐의로 고강도 조사를 받았고, 국세청으로부터 소득세 등 탈세 혐의로 200억원이 넘는 세금 추징을 통보 받았다는 사실이 알려졌다.
