꽁꽁 얼어붙은 땅
녹색 이파리들끼리 스크럼을 짜고
언 땅을 밀쳐 올리는 보리들
3인산, 높은 산에서 하산한 바람
들판을 휘몰아칠 때
얼음기둥까지 가세하며 들쳐 올린
연약한 솜털뿌리들
얼어 죽을지도 모르는
약자들끼리 뭉쳐
한겨울, 보리는 살아남았다.
봄을 기약하는 우리는
그리하여 녹색이다
푸릇푸릇 녹색이다, 이게 삶이다. (2026.1.24.)

[Poem] It's so green and lush!

The frozen ground
Green leaves form a scrum
Barley pushes up the frozen ground
Three-person mountain, the wind descending from the high mountains
As it sways across the fields
Fragile, downy roots, rising up, even with pillars of ice
The weak, who might freeze to death
In the depths of winter, the barley survived.
We, who anticipate spring
And so we are green
Verdant and lush, this is life. (January 24, 2026)
