이재명 대통령이 9일 "국가가 성장하는 만큼 국민 모두 함께 성장 기회·과실을 누리는 경제 대도약을 실현하겠다는 게 정부의 강력 의지"라고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 청와대에서 열린 '2026 경제성장전략' 국민보고회 모두 발언에서 "올해는 모든 분야서 성장을 이뤄내는 대한민국 대도약 원년이 돼야 한다"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "올해는 정부가 경제 운영에 대해 제대로 책임지는 첫 해라 할 수 있다"며 "올해 잠재성장률을 약간 상회하는 2% 정도 성장을 예상하고 있다"고 주장했다.
또 "반도체 등 전략산업 육성·금융산업 정상화 정책들이 경제 강점을 한층 강화하고 새 도약을 이끌어 낼 걸로 믿는다"며 "지금은 과거와 다른 소위 'K자형 성장'이란 중대 도전에 직면한 상황"이라고 주장했다.
이어 "외형·지표만 놓고 보면 경제는 분명 지난해보다 나아질 것이나 다수 국민들은 변화를 체감 못하는 상황 발생 가능성이 높다"며 "이 과정서 나타나는 불균등·양극화는 경제 시스템이 던지는 구조적 질문으로 무겁게 받아들여야 한다"고 주장했다.
더불어 "K자형 성장 그늘이 미래를 짊어지는 청년 세대에 집중되는 현실은 한국 경제의 장기적 미래 성장동력을 위협한다"며 "국가 성장·기업 이익이 청년들 일자리·기회로 이어지지 않는다면 그 사회는 건강하다 하기 어렵다"고 했다.
이 대통령인 "고용 절벽에 내몰린 청년들 현실을 국가 위기로 엄중 인식하고 역량을 총동원해 특단 대책을 마련해야 한다"며 "지금의 정책만으로 충분한지 근본 재점검하고 기존 틀에 얽매이지 않는 정책적 상상력을 바탕으로 실효성 있는 방안을 강구해 달라"고 했다.
