이재명 대통령이 다카이치 사나에 일본 총리 초청으로 오는 13일부터 14일까지 1박 2일 간 일본 나라현을 방문한다고 청와대가 9일 전했다.
청와대는 이날 오전 “이 대통령이 13일 오후 나라현에 도착해 다카이치 총리와 정상회담·만찬 등을 진행한다”며 이같이 전했다. 나라현은 다카이치 총리 고향이다.
그러면서 “이번 방일은 상대국을 수시로 오가는 셔틀외교 의의를 살리고, 미래지향·안정적 한·일 관계 발전 기조를 확고히 할 걸로 기대된다”고 덧붙였다.
이 대통령은 이번 방일에서 지역·글로벌 현안·경제·사회·문화 등 민생 직결 분야의 실질 협력 강화 방안 등을 논의하는 가운데 오는 14일 한·일 정상 친교 행사·재일 동포간담회를 가진 후 귀국한다.
