브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 대한체육회는 8일 “지난 7일 진천 국가대표선수촌 벨로드롬 인필드에서 ‘2026 국가대표 훈련개시식’을 개최했다”고 밝혔다.
이번 ‘2026 국가대표 훈련개시식’은 ‘2026 밀라노코르티나 동계올림픽대회’와 ‘아이치나고야 하계아시아경기대회’ 등 주요 국제대회를 앞두고 국가대표의 각오를 다지고, 본격적인 훈련 시작의 의미를 공유하기 위해 마련됐다.
행사에는 유승민 대한체육회장, 최휘영 문화체육관광부 장관을 비롯한 대한체육회 임원 및 내빈, 회원종목단체장, 시·도 및 시·군·구체육회장과 관계단체장, 진천 국가대표선수촌에 입촌한 선수와 지도자 등 약 600여 명이 참석해 국가대표의 새로운 출발을 함께했다.
유승민 회장은 개식사를 통해 “2026년은 대한민국 스포츠의 힘을 보여줄 ‘K-스포츠의 해’”라며 “공정하고 신뢰받는 체육 환경 조성을 위해 인권 존중 문화 확산과 스포츠 폭력 예방을 위한 노력을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
이날 행사에서는 체육계 전반의 청렴 문화 확산을 위한 ‘K-스포츠 실천 약속’ 낭독도 함께 진행됐다. 국가대표 선수, 지도자, 심판, 종목단체, 시·도 및 시·군·구 체육회를 대표하는 8명의 대표자가 무대에 올라, 공정과 신뢰를 바탕으로 한 책임 있는 스포츠 문화 조성을 약속하며 대한민국 체육이 지향해야 할 가치와 기준을 공유했다.
대한체육회는 “앞으로도 국가대표 선수들이 안정적인 훈련 환경 속에서 경기력 향상에 전념할 수 있도록 현장 중심의 지원을 지속적으로 강화해 나갈 방침이다”고 전했다.
