브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 박선원 더불어민주당 의원이 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령을 노벨 평화상 수상 후보자로 노벨 위원회에 추천한 것으로 확인되자, 국민의힘이 4일 "민주당의 낯 뜨거운 '트럼프 대통령 아부'"라며 이를 비판했다.
정광재 국민의힘 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "박 의원의 트럼프 대통령에 대한 노벨 평화상 추천은 그동안 민주당이 보여왔던 대미(對美)관과는 180도 달라, 보는 이들의 눈을 의심케 한다"라며 이같이 밝혔다.
정 대변인은 이번 노벨 평화상 추천과 관련해 "트럼프 행정부와 미국 조야에서 확산하고 있는 '이재명(민주당 대표) 포비아(혐오증)'를 불식시키고 '이재명 대통령 만들기'를 위한 아부는 아닌가?"라고 지적했다.
그는 "민주당은 이미 윤석열 대통령에 대한 1차 탄핵안에서 '북·중·러 적대시 외교' 운운하며, 사실상 한·미 동맹과 한·미·일 협력을 훼손하는 내용을 포함시켰다가 반발이 커지자 황급히 삭제했다"라며 "이를 두고 영 김 미국 하원 의원을 비롯한 미국 조야와 국제 사회는 '한국의 탄핵 주도 세력은 한미 동맹과 한미일 협력을 약화시키려고 한다'며 우려하고 있다"라고 주장했다.
또 "불법 대북 송금 의혹으로 재판을 받고 있는 분이 당 대표로 있는 민주당이 '한반도 평화'를 언급하며 트럼프 대통령을 추천한 것도 그 순수성을 의심케 한다"라고 했다.
정 대변인은 "이 대표 재판에서 거론되는 '벌크 캐시', 즉 '대량 현금 불법 대북 송금'은 유엔 안보리 제재는 물론 미국 독자 제재 위반 사항"이라며 "경우에 따라 관련자는 ▲미국 내 자산 동결 ▲금융기관 거래 금지 ▲자산 몰수 ▲징역형 처벌, 심지어는 '미국 입국 불허' 등 강력한 처벌을 받을 수 있는 중대 범죄"라고 지적했다.
이어 "아무리 민주당이 트럼프 대통령을 노벨 평화상에 추천한다고 해도 '그래도 이재명은 안 된다'는 세간의 평가는 피하기 어렵다"라며 "이 대표는 1차 탄핵안에 '북중러 적대시 외교'가 삽입된 경위를 설명하고, '쌍방울 불법 대북 송금' 재판에 적극 응하는 게 우선"이라고 밝혔다.
