윤석열 대통령 변호인단이 18일 서울서부지법에서의 영장실질심사(구속 전 피의자 심문·부장판사 차은경)를 마치고 "2·3차 계엄은 말이 안 되는 얘기며 좋은 결과를 기대하고 있다"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령 수사 변호인단·탄핵심판 대리인단 공보 역할을 맡은 윤갑근 변호사는 이날 오후 영장심사가 열린 서울서부지법에서 심사 종료 후 "대통령께선 사실·증거 관계·법리 문제에 대해 성실하게 설명하고 답변하셨다"며 이같이 전했다.
고위공직자범죄수사처(공수처)의 '재범(2차 계엄)' 위험성 제시 관련해선 "말이 안 되는 얘기라고 분명히 설명했다"며 "재범이란 2·3차 계엄을 한다는 건데 국회 해제요구 의결이 있자마자 바로 군을 철수시켰다"고 전했다.
그러면서 "2·3차 계엄할 것 같으면 군을 철수시킬 리 없다"며 "말이 안 되는 주장"이라고 했다.
서울서부지법 차은경 부장판사는 이날 오후 2시께부터 영장실질심사를 열어 6시 50분께 종료한 가운데 휴정 시간 20분을 제외하고 4시간 30분여 간 진행됐다. 윤 대통령은 오후 4시 35분께부터 5시 15분께까지 약 40분 간 및 마지막 5분 간 최종 발언한 것으로 전해졌다.
윤 대통령 변호인단은 이날 김홍일·윤갑근·석동현·송해은·차기환·배진한·이동찬·김계리 변호사 등이 출석한 가운데 "재판부 결정이 나올 때까지 조용히 기다리겠다"고 전했다.
