윤석열 대통령 변호인단이 10일 경찰의 박종준 대통령경호처장 등 경호처 관계자 조사 시도 관련해 "작금 상황은 자신 임무를 다하는 이들에 대해 그 소임을 저버리도록 하는 것으로 국가안보마저 개의치 않겠다는 비정상적 행위"라고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령 변호인단은 이날 낸 입장문에서 "국가 안보에 중한 위해를 자초하는 것"이라며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "불법 체포영장 집행을 거부하고 군사상 비밀 장소에 대한 수색을 거부한 건 법치주의·법률에 근거한 당연한 조치"라며 "오히려 위법한 공무집행을 강행하려는 공수처·경찰 책임이 지적돼야 한다"고 강조했다.
또 "경호처 간부들에 대한 소환 목적은 경호처 지휘부를 붕괴시켜 불법적 대통령을 체포하려는 것"이라며 "수사권을 남용한 꼼수 소환을 중단하라"고 했다.
더불어 "공수처는 불법 영장 집행에 대해 특수공무집행 방해 등 혐의로 고발돼 있다"며 "검찰은 정치적 중립·공정성을 의심받지 않기 위해서라도 즉시 공수처에 대한 소환 일정을 통보해야 할 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
