(브레이크뉴스 광주·전남) 이학수 기자=광양만권경제자유구역청(광양경자청)은 일본에서 투자유치 활동에 박차를 가하고 있다.
광양경자청 투자유치단은 지난 11일부터 14일까지 3박 4일간 일본 오사카와 도쿄를 방문하여 투자유치 활동을 펼쳤다.
특히 13일에는 도쿄 메트로폴리탄 이케부쿠로 호텔에서 센트럴글래스(Central Glass), 엔알에스(NRS) 등 일본 기업 관계자들을 초청하여 광양만권의 투자환경과 비전을 소개했다.
이 자리에서 구충곤 광양경자청장은 “광양만권은 소재부품, 에너지, 이차전지와 같은 미래성장 산업을 적극적으로 육성하며 연관 기업의 투자를 통해 일자리 창출과 지역 경제 활성화를 도모하고 있다”며 앞으로 “한일 간 비즈니스 협력을 적극적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
설명회에 참석한 일본 기업들은 광양만권의 물류 인프라와 신성장 산업 중심 투자환경에 큰 관심을 보이며, 사업 확장과 협력 가능성을 긍정적으로 평가했다.

요시미츠 다이스케 산교타임즈 대표는 60년간 10만개 이상의 기업들과 교류 협력해오고 있다고 밝히고, 광양경자청과 산업 연계성이 큰 큐슈지역을 소개하며 양 지역 간 협력 추진을 지원하겠다고 약속했다.
