(신안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=문화예술의 섬, 사계절 꽃피는 1004섬, 색채 마케팅, 1도 1뮤지움 등 문화예술분야에 앞장서고 있는 신안군은 공공건축물 분야에서도 참신하고 독창적인 디자인 설계를 위한 시범사업을 전국 최초로 추진한다고 밝혔다.
문화체육관광부에서는 2008년부터 만 45세 이하의 대한민국 건축가들을 대상으로 매년 3팀의 젊은 건축가상 수상자를 선정하여 창의적이고 역량 있는 젊은 건축가를 발굴하고 홍보함으로써 건축의 문화적 저변 확대를 지원하고 있다.
이에 착안하여, 신안군은 최근 5년간 젊은 건축가상을 수상한 총 15팀을 대상으로 하는 ‘신안군 건축설계를 위한 건축가 선정 평가위원회’를 지난 4일 개최, ‘필동2가아키텍츠 건축사사무소’를 최종 선정했다.
선정된 필동2가 아키텍츠 건축사사무소 대표 조경빈(38) 건축가는 2024년 총 40팀이 참가한 젊은 건축가상 선정 공모에 당선된 수상자로, “단정한 공간으로 표현되는 절제되고 이성적인 건축 언어들은 사회적 환경을 책임지는 건축가로서의 공공성과 감수성을 보여준다”는 우수한 심사평을 받으며 젊은 건축가상 수상자로 선정됐다.
신안군은 이번에 선정된 조경빈 건축가와 함께 2025년부터 발주할 수의계약 범위 내의 건축설계 사업을 도맡아 추진할 계획이다.
박우량 군수는 “전국 어디에도 없었던 이번 혁신적인 시범사업 추진으로 군에서 건립할 크고 작은 공공건축물에 대해, 기존에 보지 못했던 새롭고 창의적인 설계를 통해, 군민과 관광객들 모두가 만족할 수 있는 예술성 있는 건물을 지을 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.”라고 말했다.
