전남도는 한강 작가의 세계적 성과를 기념하고, 노벨문학상 수상의 감동을 도민들과 함께 나누기 위해 시상식 날인 10일 오후 4시 전남도립도서관에서 도민 축하행사를 개최한다.
행사는 작가의 작품 세계를 조명하는 문학 특강, 시 낭송, 수상 축하 편지 낭독, 지역 문화예술인이 참여하는 축하 공연 등으로 치러진다.
도립도서관은 한강 작가의 124회 노벨문학상 수상을 기념해 책을 빌리는 도민 124명에게 선착순으로 장미꽃 한 송이를 선물한다.
전남도문인협회에서는 ‘채식주의자’, ‘소년이 온다’ 등 한강 작가의 저서를 참석자에게 나눠주는 이벤트를 진행한다.
장흥군에서는 스웨덴 현지 노벨상 시상식 시간에 맞춰 10일 저녁 11시40분께부터 안양면에 있는 한승원 문학학교에서 축하행사를 열어 지역 주민과 함께 노벨문학상 시상식을 실시간으로 시청할 계획이다.
