(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남도는 지난 9일 인재양성 장학금으로 (재)녹색에너지연구원이 1억 2천만 원, 전남도시가스(주)가 3천만 원, ㈜해양에너지가 2천500만 원을 (재)전남인재평생교육진흥원에 기탁했다고 밝혔다.
이날 정철실에서 열린 기탁식에는 명창환 전남도 행정부지사, 황규철 녹색에너지연구원장, 구자성 전남도시가스 대표이사, 정회 해양에너지 대표이사, 범희승 전남인재평생교육진흥원장 등이 참석했다.
녹색에너지연구원은 정보통신기술(ICT) 융합 기반 에너지 신산업 연구 전문기관이다. 지역 에너지 효율화 보급 등 복지 지원을 위해 앞장서고 있다.
이번 장학금은 전남도와 경기도가 체결한 ‘지역상생 협약’에 따른 태양광 발전소 수익금으로 마련됐다. 연구원은 2018년부터 올해까지 총 6억 1천500만 원의 인재육성 장학금을 기탁했다.
전남도시가스는 순천, 광양 등 6개 시군에 도시가스를 공급하는 친환경에너지기업이다. ‘지역사회와 더불어 행복을 함께 나누는 기업’을 목표로 2014년부터 올해까지 총 6억 8천만 원의 장학금을 기탁하는 등 꾸준한 지역사회 공헌활동을 펼치고 있다.
해양에너지는 나주, 담양 등 8개 시군에 도시가스를 공급하는 친환경에너지기업이다. 2014년부터 올해까지 장학금 총 4억 300만 원을 저소득 대학생에게 장학금을 지원하고 있다. 동신대 등에 대학 발전기금도 기탁하는 등 지역 인재 육성에 앞장서고 있다.
