【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주교육지원청(교육장 이정훈)은 2024년 12월 5일에서 6일까지 충청북도 디지털 기반 교육혁신 컨퍼런스와 함께 경북대학교 사대부중을 방문하여 IB MYP(중등 프로그램) 월드스쿨을 견학했다. 이번 방문은 충주 관내 중·고등학교장 및 교육지원청 관계자 등 30여 명이 참석하여 교육 현장 탐방과 정보 교류의 시간을 가졌다.
이 연수의 참석자들은 경북대 사대부중 IB MYP 월드스쿨 방문을 통해 선진 교육 시스템을 직접 살펴보고, 학교 발전 방안 및 창의적 인재 육성 방법을 모색하는 기회를 가졌다. 윤서화 교장선생님의 안내로 학교 시설 견학 및 교육철학 브리핑, 질의응답이 이루어졌다.
이번 방문의 목적은 IB 프로그램의 교육철학과 실천 방안을 탐구하고, 이를 통해 충주의 교육 현장에 적용 가능한 혁신적인 교육 방안을 도출하는 것이다. 또한, 교육자 간의 네트워크를 강화하여 정보 교류 및 협력 체계를 확립하고자 했다.
이 연수에 참석한 한 교장은 “경북대 사대부중의 IB 프로그램을 직접 듣고 살펴봄으로써, 충주 교육 현장에 적용할 수 있는 많은 아이디어를 얻었다.”고 소감을 밝혔다. 다른 교장은 “이번 방문을 통해 창의적이고 혁신적인 교육 방법을 실제로 보고 배우는 좋은 기회였다.”고 말했다.
이번 방문을 통해 충주교육지원청은 IB 프로그램의 교육적 가치를 이해하고, 이를 토대로 충주의 교육 환경을 한 단계 발전시킬 수 있는 계기를 마련하였다. 앞으로도 충주교육지원청은 다양한 연수와 프로그램을 통해 교사들의 전문성 개발을 지속적으로 지원할 계획이다.

Chungju Office of Education (Superintendent Lee Jeong-hoon) visited Kyungpook National University SaDaeBu Middle School from December 5 to 6, 2024, along with the Chungcheongbuk-do Digital-based Education Innovation Conference, and toured the IB MYP (Secondary Program) World School. About 30 people, including principals of middle and high schools and officials from the Office of Education in Chungju, attended the visit and had a time to visit the educational site and exchange information.
Through the visit to Kyungpook National University SaDaeBu Middle School IB MYP World School, the participants had the opportunity to directly examine the advanced education system and explore ways to develop the school and foster creative talent.
