화성동탄2는 수도권 최대 자족 거점도시로 올해 4월 GTX-A노선 동탄역 개통으로 서울 수서역까지 약 20분으로 연결됐다. 또 9월 동탄역과 세종·대전 지역을잇는시외버스 운행이 시작돼 수도권과 충청권 사이 출퇴근이 편리해졌다.
